"PREPAY OR SUFFER!!! I made my reservation weeks in advance. Because I wasn’t sure whether I was actually going on this trip, I selected a property that offered “pay on arrival” option. I checked the Expedia confirmation email to see the conditions of my reservation. All it said was I needed to cancel the reservation 24 hrs before the day. I showed up on the day of my reservation, around 8 PM, only to find out that Motel 6 had canceled it and let my room go, at 6PM that day. Mind you, they had my phone number, they could’ve called. The front desk lady was knowledgeable and indicated those are Motel 6’s conditions for reservations, but they don’t make it on Expedia’s website or confirmation. All of this meant that after my day of travel, I had to scramble and find another hotel, instead of the one I had reserved. Very disappointing."
