I was expecting to have a room with decent shower and shower supplies. No tooth brush, no bath slippers, no water in the room( except one in the fist day) and the bed was uncomfortable, you could easily feel the spring in the bed and the noise of it.

Overall the hotel offered great amenities. The bar service and breakfast buffet was exceptional. The room was clean and roomy, however there was no overhead lighting which made the room feel very dark and dim. Also there was no english speaking tv stations, not even news broadcasts.

Great hotel and staff. Only real challenge was the restaurant staff—largely inattentive to the point that when trying to get drinks after waiting for 30 minutes for someone to take an order we just gave up.

Unforgettable disqualitifed hotel experience of Ho
Reservation without informing proper guarantee fee and repetitive payment. Poor room preparedness (cleaness and facility service) which has to call for additional services several times and the room change at last including the unpolite staff service.

Did not meet my expectations, I would not return.
We arrived on a Tuesday and were informed that they had no concierge until Thursday. We asked the manager to book us a walking tour. The next day he informed us that there was no walking tour until Saturday. We later found out that there were several tours daily. The carpet in our room and hallways was stained and tiles everywhere were dirty. The regular desk staff, bartenders and housekeeping were pleasant. The manager had little interest in helping us until the concierge arrived on Thursday, besides telling us, except to tell us where the tour buses were located. When the concierge arrived on Thursday, he immediately booked us a walking tour, got us admission to the Reichstag and helped us get too many locations by public transit. He recommended restaurants and jazz clubs. His name was Johannes Bannert and his help was paramount in enjoying our stay in Berlin. When I asked about the swimming pool, I was informed that it had been closed at the start of Covid and never reopened. In all other Hotles we stayed in the pools were opened even in Munich. So this was not a German policy just laziness on their part. The workout room was nice. The hotel did not live up to our accommodations in other 4 star locations in Budapest, Prague or Munich. We had trouble getting our room cool enough with the air conditioning. When the maintenance man came up he said it was fixed and that we were in Germany not the United States. Again in the other three cities room temperature was not an issue

So we have at the moment only one who has to have two days of in a week. The reception tries to cover the concierge work but they do not have the same knowledge. Concerning the pool: we need someone to handle the sauna and pool area. In the covid period the company finished the contract because the area had to be closed for a long time. Now we do not find a new company as nobody knows what will happen in autumn concerning corona. Again we apologize for the issues. With kind regards

It was very nice stay. As we had a long travel from Copenhagen and arrived at the hotel at 11am but the reception was so nice to let us early check in right away. Thank you so much for the kindness. Hotel is clean. Nice area and good atmosphere.

Loss of splendor.
The hotel lacked customer service delivery. Long wait times at the reception. Hotel dated and need an update. Understaffed. No service on the patio. No waiting tables. Stuff piled up on tables but no one to clean up in a timely manner. Parking garage dark and dingy. Wait times at elevators. One worked. Light fixtures defective in our room. Overall really disappointed.

The staff responded well to our request to unclog the bathtub drain and the flickering bathroom light. Unfortunately both problems reappeared shortly after they were addressed. A vexing issue for us as non-smoker was that without fail every evening the Airconditioner carried cigarette and weed smell from some neighboring room into our room. It’s a tough problem for the hotel to resolve, but it nevertheless was a nuisance to us during our entire five nights at the hotel. The hotel is centrally located. However, the next subway is a good fifteen minute walk away. A bus station at the corner proved to be the better option for us. All said, it was an OK stay for us but there were some aspects we’d like to have done without.

The location was not as central as we had anticipated and we should have checked before booking. There were limited eating facilities /bars within walking distance although a good bus service within a short walk. We did not book breakfast beforehand as wanted to keep options open if there were cafes nearby which there were not . At check in we were not given the option to add breakfast and chose to try it on the first morning of the stay which was approx 29 euros per person and in our opinion expensive. We chose to add to our account for the remainder of the stay only for convenience at a discounted rate of 21 euros per person which is stil expensive and in our opinion not value for money. The charge is more than a steak on the evening menu ! It was our choice to have it in the hotel but it was purely for convenience and did put a dampener on our break. We had not other issues with the hotel.

Good business hotel and very clean. Staff very helpful and cheerful couldn’t use Spa facilities as it was closed, but gym is open. Only complain is that they only provide one bottle of water on arriving day and replace it after that. Mini bar is empty.

Easy location for getting around the city. Closest to Tiergarten and Zoo areas, less convenient to former East Berlin sites but close enough. Very comfortable property and quiet/safe area.
