Pros: luggage locker, private room for cheap, good room with windows and small bathroom, free breakfast, they let us use the microwave behind the front desk, community feeling, right by the U metro and lots of food options Cons: can hear noise through the halls and there was a large group staying here but it didn’t cause disruption in the night.

Was'nt expecting much but also did not expect the place to be smelly and unclean. Had to ask for extra bed-sheet (for extra 5 Euros) as non of the bed looked clean. Commom bathroom is not frequently cleaned. Shower cabinets with no curtains, just translucent doors. 1 of the 2 toilets is closed all the time. Unlimited breakfast: basic but okay for the price. Stay was okay this time but probably won't book again the next time I am in Berlin.

It is central. Bed was clean. But the toilets were not cleaned daily. And was not replenished. No hand soap as well. Breakfast the same daily but it wasnt bad.

Nice stay
Nice stay. Arrived past mid night and helpful person checked me in nicely. Very close to metro station and eating places are very near. Had to walk 3-4 floors up to get to room with heavy baggage.

Worst Hostel Experience
The place was not as good as it was advertised. The toilets are dirty and their services are really bad. They asked me to pay another €4 for the beddings which are normally included in all hotels and hostel.

It is pretty good
The guy who checked me in was really nice. I can see he is a wonderful person, not just being nice for job security. The next day I asked the guy who was working at the desk for direction, he was not nice, rather he was arrogant and impatient. I liked the hostel. The location is great, right outside of the building there is a subway station. The room is clean. They have good free breakfast. I would recommend this hostel to anyone, although I wish I didn't meet the arrogant guy.

A nice, sociable hostel in Berlin
Berlin Metropol Hostel is laid-back and comfortable, and its front door leads right into a really convenient subway line. Everyone was friendly, and the free breakfast was also a nice touch. However, its showers didn't always have reliable water pressure, and the internet was spotty.

False advertisement
Pros: location and breakfast Cons: NO WIFI!!! False advertisement! Had to spend more money to contact my family. When we arrived the toilet was broken, the elevator was broken, so we had to carry our luggages up 5 floors! Receptionist was rude. They don't have maps for tourists. The hostel had teenagers there as well, so it was loud and there was lots of activity throughout the entire night. A teenager even flashed us! They also charge you an extra 3 Euros even though there is no information of this when you are booking online. I complained and asked for some sort of reimbursement and the receptionist was nonchalant about it and refused. Overall, a really awful experience. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

ok 4 the young & busy budgeter.
My stay was ok. Very lively part of town throughout the night. The kebab 'portable' eatery directly in front the hostels front door is very popular the line is often long. Breakfast is very cheap or basic. eg. no eggs ...free WiFi...need lock for locker in the room. I found the Russian receptionist guy very helpful.The lift doesn't work. if u are young and planning to be out most of the time anyway, it is a good enough rest stop. There's a lounge to chill and charge your phone. The underground train is just outside the front door. You just can't beat the location for the price. Would I go again if I was on a budget?...yep.

Clean hostel with doner kabob & subway nearby.
Easy central location with subway stop right on the same block as the hostel. There is one of the best doner kabob stands in the country (Mustafa's) located literally just 15 feet outside the front door of the hostel. There is almost always a very long line there for a good reason. This was my favorite part of staying at this hostel which is kind of silly. I ate there 5 times. So good! There is also a curry wurst, pizza, and noodle shop on the same block on same side of street as hostel as well as a convenience store just next door. Rooms were spacious and clean with nice sized lockers. Street can get a bit loud at night so just bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. In room wifi sucks but it's ok by the reception.

Nice hostel near to the metro station
It is a very good hostel. The staff is very nice. The condition, the room confort and the facilities of the place are for sure the best that I have seen in this kind of hostel. I really recommend this hostel.

I stayed to 2 nights on 3rd floor. The biggest problem is the smell in the mens bathroom. It has the horrible and unmistaken smell of urine. I hate it. You want to avoid breathing.They say it's comming from the floor above. I luckily found a clean bathroom for handicapped to use instead. Also some of the bunk beds makes squeaky noises when you move during the night. Staff is very friendly and the place is very easy to get to via U-bahn. The price for staying in a 8-bed dorm is unbeatable. And the breakfast is wonderful. If the toilet smell is fixed this place would be fantastic.

Excellent Stay
Stayed the weekend here and really enjoyed it! The room was basic but it was comfortable and it met my expectations. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They have a nice lounge with a bar and foosball table. Can't beat the price for this location either!

The one offputting factor about this place was that they charge you 2.50 euros for sheets. This is a new charge as it says on a small sign there and is not mentioned on the expedia page when I payed for it or on my itinery. The staff member went down the path of, "I don't speak very good English" when I told him that hidden costs like these should be displayed to me when I book the place. Without sheets, the beds would have been filthy so I am rating this hotel based on providing no sheets as that is the deal customers are paying for on Expedia.

Die Unterkunft liegt sehr zentral direkt an einer U-Bahnstation. In der Umgebung findet man verschiedene gute Essensangebote und kostenfreie Parkplätze. Wir hatten 2 Zimmer gebucht und eines zum Hinterhof und eines zur Straßenseite erhalten. Der Lärmunterschied ist deutlich zu merken. Das sollte man eventuell bedenken. Die Zimmer selbst sind zweckmäßig eingerichtet. Das Frühstück ist sehr einfach gehalten. Der Speiseraum erinnert an eine Schulküche. Das Personal war stets freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Pour faire un enterrement de vie de garçon à 9 nous avions commandés 3 chambres de 3 lits avec une salle de bain commune, nous avons eu une chambres de 10, avec 1 sanitaire et salle de bain. Les lits non pas de planche, le confort est très rustique, l'hôtel était super bruyant avec l'arrivée d'adolescents de clubs de sport mais l'ambiance était au rendez-vous avec de beaux souvenirs.

Eignet sich gut für einen kurzen Aufenthalt in Berlin. Gute Anbindung an öffentliche Verkehrsmittel, viele Läden/Restaurants in nächster Nähe. Freundliches Personal. Frühstück ist im Preis enthalten. Einen Punkt Abzug wegen der Sauberkeit, Zimmer und Betten waren aber sauber und in gutem Zustand. Viele Grüße!

Das Gebäude und das Treppenhaus ist sehr schmutzig. Das Zimmer ist nicht wie auf den Bildern abgebildet, vor allem das Bad. Das war dreckig. Alte Urinspuren auf der Toilette. Obdachlose halten sich im Gebäude auf. Zum Schutz unserer Kinder mussten wir in ein anderes Hotel gehen.

Würde diese Unterkunft niemanden empfehlen.wir wurden um 50 Euro mehr verarscht weil wir mit einen autistischen Kind eine eigene Zimmer haben wollten für nichtmal 3stunden... Fazit wir haben am selben Tag wieder ausgebucht. Unterkunft ist dreckig und riecht sehr stark nach Urin.

Ett väldigt prisvärt hostel mitt i centrala Berlin, Perfekt för dig som vill uppleva staden till en rimlig kostnad. Vi var där som barnfamilj, kändes tryggt bemannad reception dygnet runt och även kameror. Är du känslig för damm och att allt inte är i toppskick är hostelet inget för dig. Perfekt lagom frukost

Als wir ankamen und nach einem Parkplatz fragten (laut Angaben Privatparkplatz für 8€ den Tag), sagte der Mitarbeiter nur, er glaube es gibt keine mehr, nachgeschaut wurde aber nicht. Wir haben um das Haus aber auch keine Parkmöglichkeiten, welche direkt vom Hostel gestellt werden gesehen. Hostel an sich sehr alt, wurde über die Jahre kaum noch renoviert, Sauberkeit lässt zu wünschen übrig( Boden staubig, Bad fleckig, Matratzen fleckig) Aufzug roch extrem unangenehm. Bei uns gab es dann noch einen Feueralarm, hier gab es leider keine Anweisung der Mitarbeiter, wo wir uns sammeln sollen, bzw. die Aufforderung das Hostel zu verlassen, später leider auch keine Info, dass alles in Ordnung ist und man wieder hinein gehen darf. Aufgrund des Vorkommnisses wurde das Wasser abgestellt ca. ab 23.30Uhr, am nächsten Morgen ging es wieder ab 6.30Uhr, jedoch gab es dann keinen Strom bis Abends wohl, da wir sowieso den ganzen Tag unterwegs waren und erst gegen 19Uhr zurück kamen, war es für uns nicht schlimm, jedoch gab es dann Probleme mit heiß Wasser, weshalb Duschen nicht möglich war( ging erst tagsdrauf wieder). Wir haben einiges erlebt, würden das Hostel auch nicht als Familienfreundlich beschreiben, war nachts doch sehr laut durch junge Gäste ( ständiges Türen schlagen, klopfen, schreien). Was gut war: Die gute Lage und U-Bahn Verbindung, Frühstück ( wenn man keine hohen Ansprüche hat) Wir würden das Hostel nicht noch einmal besuchen und empfehlen es daher nicht weiter.
