The hotel was excellent, staff were lovely, good breakfast, nice bar and all clean and comfortable. The location is good in that it’s an easy walk to some main sights but not so good in that there is pretty much nothing on the streets surrounding the hotel so if you want an evening dinner or drink, you’ll be a good 20min walk away (or a couple of tram or bus changes away). There hotel bar is nice though.

Excellent experience! The breakfast is superb - so many options! Well worth including… now I’m back - I miss it! Staff very helpful and friendly. The location is perfect for everything - trains and buses to everywhere you need to get to, and a great many attractions within 10-15 min walking distance. Very safe area (in fact Berlin in itself feels really safe). My friend was ill on the last day and they let us check out a little later which was really helpful. Beware nitpicking reviewers who find a crack in a chair, or a spot of rust on a shower head and cry about it. Sure, you may find a slightly tired corner of a room that gets used 24/7… but this is a great place with everything you need, and exceptional staff and breakfast… and it’s SUPER quiet! Enjoy your stay!

Pros: large room, crib available, new/modern bathroom Cons: stained and aged carpet, dated popcorn ceiling and walls, dated furniture, very firm mattress and small firm pillows Instead of a 4 star hotel, it was more like a 2-3 star property

Upon arrival to the Novotel we were given a completely different room to the booking, which was inferior and contained glow in the dark stickers which would light up at night. The response was that they couldn't fit us into the room we booked until the day after checkout, forcing us to move all our luggage. Additionally, we were given towels upon arrival which contained various blood stains, quite disgusting. Compensation was in the form of a drink card for each guest(

Rooms are very old. The windows are not sound proof, can hear everything from the streets. Smell from the toilet goes into bedroom though the toilet door was shut. The keycard stopped working after one day, and had to go back to reception to get it renewed and staff didnt even say sorry for the inconvenience. Will not stay again.

Nice hotel. Staff was very friendly. Excellent breakfast buffet (I would recommend getting it included in your room). Only issue we had is that the walls are very thin, sounded like our neighbors were in our room as opposed to next door, was difficult to sleep a few nites.
