Love the Castle, grounds and fascilities. Very grand and traditional with a friendly and attentive service team. From the porters to the housekeeping, the bar staff, concierge and sommeliers - All help shape the allure of this fine resort.

Magical stay. Always.
Your activities facility is fantastic! Clay shooting. Horse back riding thru the amazing woods. Breakfast service wonderful. The small town Cong walking distance is a great place to spend the day in. Everyone is so friendly and happy. Magical stay. I do see that barroom needed some upkeep. The backs of the shower handle area looked poorly attached

5 star experience!
This was our second time staying 2 nights at Asford Castle and it exceeded all expectations. The moment we pulled into the front gate it started our amazing experience. All staff, food, and accommodations were truly 5 star. The customer service is like no other.

Our stay at the Ashford Castle was truly amazing! Our first time there was memorable. Upon entering, we were greeted with such style and made us feel like we were royalty. Accomodations were breathtaking too. If you are planning a trip, make sure to book afternoon tea and the hawk walk at the falconry school. The only miss was that we stayed for one night, way too short to enjoy all that they have to offer. We will definitely be coming back.

It’s the best hotel I have ever stayed in. The room was beautiful and well appointed. They’ve thought of every possible need you might have. You’re treated like a king or queen. The restaurants are first class. The service is second to none. If you have the opportunity to stay there don’t hesitate.

This was our third visit to Ashford Castle, and the experience remains spectacular. The physical building, the grounds, and particularly fabulous service from being met at the entrance to the property to the nightly turndown service with chocolates all deliver the ultimate luxury experience. We were able to take advantage of the boat tour, the morning dog walk, the movie theater, and a private wine tasting. Our only regret is that we didn't book early enough to take advantage of other activities such as falconry, archery and horseback riding. Something to look forward to on our next visit.

Amazing property! Th service was impeccable-I would expect the absolute best given the property level. It has many many activities but must be reserved in advance which in some cases a disappointment should the availability be limited.

This is a spectacular property. The grounds are huge and really beautiful. We did the hawk walk and it was the highlight of our one night stay. We ate in the bar for lunch and the ham and cheese baguette was sooo good then we had dinner in the dungeon and it was just good, not as great as I imagined it would be. Breakfast was also good but I've had better brunches. It was a really good experience and we are glad we stayed for at least one night.

The property is very beautiful especially the garden. There are a lot of fun activities on the property like horseback riding, archery, falconry, swimming, biking, golfing, tennis, etc. The staff is very friendly and nice. The staff is very helpful and they can assist you with all your needs. The movie theater and its snacks are also very delicious. If you look closely inside the castle you can find a secret hiding spot. The food is also delicious especially there breakfast aged ham. The golf course is beautiful and there aren’t much people so I totally recommend it.

This is one of the most comprehensive properties I have ever stayed in. It has so much to offer...restaurants with exceptional service and offerings, concierge service for your ever need, valet parking, transportation to every event or location on the property, garden tours, golf, falconing, fishing, boating....it's hard to do it all in such a short stay. And, oh by the way, the rooms are absolutely incredible! Beautifully decorated, modern communications systems, and ultra luxury within a fabulous setting. It is a Forbes 5 star hotel deserving of the Red Carnation listing. You pay for all of it, of course, but if you must stay at a place that cost you a bundle, this is the place.

Our second visit to Ashford and once again it was wonderful. The service is exemplary. Everyone is friendly and helpful. The rooms are lovely with very comfortable beds. Breakfast in the dining room is huge and delicious with lots of options for every palate. Don’t miss the opportunity to go on a hawk walk at the School of Falconry-it is a unique experience getting to handle these magnificent birds. I also recommend the morning dog walk with the castle’s Irish wolfhounds.

Ashford castle is amazing. The grounds and accommodations are gorgeous. I wish i would have had more time at the castle and visited Cong, the town just outside. It wS all beautiful. I recommend at least one full day if not too. I would have loved the boat tour and we wanted to do the falcon walk but should have booked ahead. Day of there was no availability. Id also make dinner reservations at one of the 3 hotel restaurants before your trip Enjoy the amazing place.

Once in a Lifetime Trip
Grounds are beautiful and you are treated like royalty from the moment you enter the hotel. You receive an orientation and you do receive calls to check in on how you are doing. There is no need to leave the grounds since there are a few restaurants to pick from on-premise. Short walk to Cong is you want to check out the Quiet Man bar. We stayed two days and wish it was longer.

So much fun to say I've stayed in a castle, eaten a fancy meal at a castle. The room was lovely, dinner at The George was wonderful. I really did feel like a princess. Thank you for taking such good care of me.

There is nothing I can say about this property that would fully express how amazing it is. The beauty of the area, the staffs desire to ensure your happiness, their obvious (and rightly so) pride in The Castle, the myriad of things to do, both onsite and in the small town of Cong which is a beautiful 10 minute walk away - all of these things made this a vacation that I will never forget and will be hard to top.

Disappointing. I stayed at this property about 8 years ago and remembered the service was impeccable. That is why I returned. Unfortunately it has lost a great deal of its quality and service you would expect for $750 per night room. Only about half of the employees were friendly and pleasant the others didn’t seem to care much about providing service. You need to make reservations for the indoor pool which I found unusual. We opted to eat at the casual dining restaurant which was the only positive and enjoyable experience there. Our waitress was amazing. The room was small. Nothing in the mini bar is free, which was sad because you are paying a premium to stay there. On the previous night we stayed at a different 5 star hotel that gave us free beer, sodas, and endless water. Breakfast was horrible, my food came out soggy. They used to have a wonderful buffet 8 years ago but now you can only order from a menu and your options are limited. I would say this hotel this is more of a 4 star hotel, not luxury at all. The icing on the cake was when they loaded our luggage into the car and told us where it was parked so we could walk to it in the rain, they didn’t drive it to us.
