Lovely hotel for a Kinsale Break

This hotel really made our trip to Kinsale. It is really comfortable and very well maintained. We used the lovely spa facilities, which were really well kept. There is a mini-bus which takes guests into Kinsale every half hour from 6 to 10:30 at night, this was an added bonus, we weren't aware this existed until we got there. Would definitely recommend, and definitely go again.

In it for the buck?

Room smelt of smoke but they moved us. Though hotel empty they wanted to charge us extra to have a sea view. They informed my 70 year old mum that she needed a swimming cap and she bought one. Next day, numerous people were swimming without caps-I was not sure if they intentional did this. The bus service to the town was sporadic and we had to wait for 40 mins one night. Alot of negatives, but it is a nice place, but you are far out

Maximize: Kinsale is the attraction, so this may not be the wise choice-as you are a bit out. Taxi costs E12 or a bus service is available up to 10.45, which at weekends, is when the fun begins!

Stunning hotel, very impressed.

Carlton Hotel was an amazing experience for both of us. The hotel is stunning, clean and the staff is very helpful. The spa is amazing, but a bit pricey. Can not wait to return!
