This was a great hotel in a great location, close to saint Catherine's. Rooms were very well maintained and clean. Didn't have a chance to check out the night club but it looked packed both nights. Definitely recommend this hotel if you have some extra money to spend on a hotel.
Great hotel and fantastic service. We were there for the Rush concert at Bell Centre and chose Loews because it offered every thing we needed to complete our Father's day trip, I wish we could have stayed longer.
We love the closeness of Canada from where we live in upstate New York. We get the excitement of being in a foreign country without having to expensively fly abroad. This was our fifth Canadian vacation & we rank Montreal & Quebec at the top of the list. It felt like we were in France when walking the streets of Old Montreal & Quebec. Le Cantlie allowed us to walk everywhere because of its perfect location. The front desk staff were incredibly helpful & gracious.
Vacation stay. Good location but next time will stay closer to Old Montreal. Strangely, taxis must come to the side door, where no bell staff is ever stationed! Private vehicles may go to the front door. Therefore, coming from the airport with your bags, you're on your own; 14 steps, 2 sets of manual (and heavy) doors and a short walk to reception----on your own. Small but annoying welcome.
After that, it was fine. Sunday brunch was esp good.
Stayed at the Hotel Chez Swann in Montreal. I absolutely loved my eclectic room. The furnishing are very non traditional, the window seat was a treat.
You couldn't ask for a better location; steps away from bars and restaurants and Crescent Street.
The room was a little noisy in the morning but otherwise a fantastic time.
Most of the city's museums, corporate headquarters, and department stores can be found in downtown Montreal. Crescent Street draws party-goers to its restaurants, bars, and night clubs. Mount Royal Park features the 30m-high (98-foot) steel cross visible across Montreal and illuminated each night. Hockey fans flock to the Bell Centre, home of the Montreal Canadiens.
