Great location! Can walk everywhere. Hotel is very nice, well-maintained and clean. Bed comfortable - we slept well. Highly recommend

Clean, beautiful hotel near great spots in Dublin. Rooms were a wee bit small for an American, but the hotel was lovely.

I would give this hotel 5 stars if it wasn't for the overpriced breakfast. 20 Euros (discounted rate) I felt was extortionate. Such a shame because it would make me think twice before ever returning.

We loved staying at the Davenport! It is a very easy walk to many destinations like Trinity College, Grafton Street, tons of restaurants and pubs with live music.

The staff were terrific. Rebecca at the front desk was very informative about the area, tours and other sights of interest. Beatriz for the morning breakfast was very accommodating, professional and helpful. The morning breakfast 20 euro was well worth the price as compared to other options in the area The hotel room was upgraded, the bed was very comfortable ,everything worked and it was very clean

The place was excellent, however, we had a bad experience while dining there on 3/3 and despite the fact that we escalated the issue, it was not addresed until 72 hours later.

Excellent Hotel in lovely location, easy walking distance to shopping and Temple Bar. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful, very good breakfast. Have stayed previously and will definitely book again.

Reception staff were great, happy to help in any way possible. Room was very comfortable, we found the duvet very warm, 13 tog i suspect, prefer a l lesser tog but that’s a personal preference, housekeeping weren’t able to change this, but gave us extra sheets.

Bait and switch
My issue was we booked the Davenport. It was closed for maintenance and Christmas. We were sent to sister property at the Alex. It was nice but not what we booked. Then we had to go to another property “the Mont” to use the gym. Stay was ok but not what I booked. A notification prior would have been nice. I found out by the doors being chained and a note on the glass

Parking was problematic at checkout. This hotel experience was okay- great location but not much of a personal touch. Seemed more factory like than nicer hotel. Restaurant staff was overwhelmed and service suffered. Room and surroundings were very clean and well kept.
