“Excellence in Dun Laoghaire”
excellent location, well presented room, and busy contemporary bar
“I would stay here again!!”
Great hotel right near the water, the DART, and pubs.
“Great experience!”
We stayed at the Royal Marine Hotel based on price and traveler's comments on this site. The hotel is outside of Dublin city center in a village called Dun Laoghaire on the shore of the Irish Sea. It's a 20 minute train ride into town. Wonderful old, but well-preserved hotel. Our room was small but very clean and nicely furnished. Quiet village, which was great. It was a good base from which to see Dublin, Glendalough and New Grange. Highly recommend it!
“Great location for what we wanted”
We specifically picked this hotel as it was out of the city and allowed us to more easily park our rental car and drive the coastal road south. The hotel was just as described on the website, very well staffed, maintained and located.
“Overall Grade A”
Good housekeeping service. Very comfortable bedding. Separate shower and bath. Easy to check in. Complimentary parking. Nice indoor pool, jacuzzi, steam room, sauna, and fitness facility. Friendly staff. Safe suburban neighborhood. Beautiful scenery. Overall good location for a quiet and relaxing stay.on the outskirts of Dublin.
“I would Go again”
Do the Hop on Hop off bus tour its worth the money and take a tour to the country side its adifferant color green.
“Best hotel I have stayed in!”
The hotel went through a re-furbishment in June 2007 i believe and it was stunning. We went there for my birthday and had a stunning room and excellent service. we did not eat in the hotel but visited the "Hardy's Bar". Although the drinks weren't cheap (never are in hotels)the bar staff were very pleasant. Would definately like to return when i next go to Ireland and have recommended to my friends to stay here.
“really nice place to stay”
just got back went there for a weekend with the wife hotel was fab staff were very freindly room was really nice the bed was really soft and warm.the train station is about a 5min walk form hotel would stay there again without a doubt
“Would certainly go back again”
i found this hotel very comfortable and has alot to offer.the spa and treatments on offer was excellent and well worth the money, spent alot of time in the spa and pool. the hotel is ideally situated and has plent of resturants and bars in the area so venturing out is a must. a+
“I loved the view of the harbour”
I had three rooms for my family and we all had a great time. We enjoyed walking around the area and the Joyce Tower. It was easy to take the train downtown and catch a bus to the sites we wanted to see in Dublin.
