Staff was pleasant, helpful and informative. Keys need to be left at reception but this isn't a big problem. Room was spacious (for one) and had a large bathtub which was great to relax in after a long month of travels!

We just came back from a 3 night stay at The Maldron Hotel & Leisure Centre in Cork city.
The family room was very spacious, modern & clean. The swimming pool & steam/sauna room were an added bonus given the inclement weather. The hotel is ideally located close to the city centre & Shandon.
Staff are so helpful and friendly they offer information we didn't have to ask anything .. They gave us advice of where to eat and drink along with a map of the city ! The waterfall courtyard is beautiful and the photos don't do it justice !
This hotel is about a 10 minute taxi ride from the airport. You can also get a bus from right outside the airport (226 to Cork)which will drop you at the bus station literally a 2 min walk form the hotel. It's only a short walk into Cork centre from the hotel too. We stayed for 2 nights, arriving at 8.30 Saturday morning. We were greeted by really friendly staff, checked in and our room was ready, even at this early hour! The room had a large king sized and a single bed in a large room with all the usual refinements. The Kudos bar/restaurant was lovely the food was good and reasonably priced. The reception area has a coffee bar serving drinks, pastries and light breakfasts ( the scones are yummy!) as well as the restaurant serving buffet breakfasts. The bus stop is around the corner. We went to Kinsale, a picturesque harbour about a 40min bus ride away. Fishy Fishy restaurant there was recommended to us but unfortunately we didn't get time to try it out. There are plenty of small shops restaurants and bars within a few minutes walk from the hotel, a little further on are larger department stores and high street shops. There's a large indoor 'English Market' which was recommended as a 'must see'. Lots of bars are down little side streets, Thomonds is a must if you're there for the rugby, The Rising sun brewery, The Old oak was brilliant for live music on sunday night. Cork is a lovely place to visit with really friendly people. Would highly recommend this hotel.
Plenty of car parking, excellent bedroom and dining room, very good food. The reception employee gave us very useful information about the town and took time to explain the variety of places to visit for different requirements. In general, a very pleasant stay and a hotel we would recommend to anyone.
We parked in the underground car park and the hotel validated our ticket fee of charge at reception when we left.
We received a warm welcome and our bedroom was large and comfortable.
We'd did not stay for breakfast, but did have a lunch in the bar/restaurant, outside by the river which was a tasty mushroom and hallumi burger.
Only 5 mins walk away is the fantastic Paradiso vegetarian cafe.
We very much enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this hotel.
