“Very enjoyable stay”
Stayed here on a weekend break and found the staff very polite and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Great hotel, great location.
“great hotel”
good location, nice lounge, great concierge staff
“Very impressed”
Stayed for three nights. Courteous staff, clean hotel and very comfortable bed. No negatives at all.
“Great service. Great location.”
Close to everything. Staff very friendly and helpful.
“Edinbrugh-great room, conciege and pool”
We stayed at hotel June 2011. The concierge was excellent and provided us with very good information on restaurants, buses, tours etc. Pool is great and open till 10pm. Room was clean and very modern. At the time most of the restaurants were going under renovation, but Santinis was open for breakfast. Very good but high priced Spa is high priced. It was adults only at hotel when we were there, never saw a child in the 4 days, which was great! Felt very safe in the neighborhood, though some of it was a little run down, but then in Edinburgh you are never more than 1 block away from a better area. Lots of buses avail near the hotel, and we also found lots of breakfast shops and reasonably priced restaurants.
“Very content.”
Liked the hotel - when we found it!
“We had a fantastic honeymoon here!”
This hotel is very conveniently located. There is a great downstairs bar (the Exchange) which stocks hundreds of different whiskies. The staff are extremely helpful, the bed was comfortable and the room spacious with a good view of the castle. There were two small disappointments: wireless internet access cost extra and was expensive and the spa was also very expensive and not free for hotel guests. Considering the cost of staying at this hotel, these extra charges seemed unreasonable.
“Perfect place to saty.”
I stayed there just for one night (almost 24 hours). Fantastic place in terms of location (close to the main high street and the castle) and most importantly I was quite satisfied with the hotel itself. Clean, comfortable, spacious and quiet. I used the pool and the gym for free and I spent very relaxing couple of hours there. Although I did not use its restaurant and its food but I would highly recommend this hotel. I will definitely go there again.
“Best bed ever!”
In a one week tour of the UK, this three-night stay at the Sheraton was a welcome comfort. The room was very nice. The hotel breakfast buffet was out of this world and we enjoyed spending one rainy morning just relaxing in The Exchange lounge reading the paper and enjoying a spot of tea. The concierge service was very helpful in setting us up with a double-decker bus tour of Edinburgh as well as a one-day Highlands tour. We thoroughly enjoyed the dreamy king-size bed in our room. The sheets were so soft. The pillows and mattress were so comfy. We felt like we were sleeping in a cloud! And the walk to the castle was very pleasant and easy to follow. We'll definitely come back!
“A weekend in Edinburgh - great venue, great spa - calls for a return visit”
Finding our way through Edinburgh was a bit of a trial with many roads only one way and unfortunately for us - the wrong way! Could not fault the hotel at all - a nice, relaxed yet unpretentious 5 star venue and well located near Princess Street for all attractions and places to eat and drink. My partner used the One Spa and was extremely impressed with the facilities - indoor pool, various heated rooms and saunas to work your way through culminating in the outdoor roof-top pool with massage points and jacuzzi - all under the rainy Edinburgh night skies - he was in heaven!
