“Great hotel for a city break in Edinburgh.”
The George is a great hotel with friendly and helpful staff. We were greeted with champagned on check-in before proceeding to our lovely big room with a large comfy bed. The hotel bar was a lovely place to hang out before being in walking distance of Edinburgh's city centre attractions.
“Great weekend in Edinburgh”
Great central location, easy to find and easy walk from airport bus, easy walk to Waverley Station - overall lovely hotel No wireless internet - which was not an issue for pleasure but may be a negative for business travellers

Very clean hotel, beautiful room, great breakfast spread. Good value for the money. Central location within walking distance of the Waverley Bridge where the Edinburgh Hop On/Hop Off Bus Tour starts.
“Really Smart Hotel”
The room was large very clean huge comfortable bed, very smart bathroom. The staff were excellent and the whole experience was very good. Would definately return.
“Great room, Great place etc etc”
The Hotel George is located conveniently in amongst trendy bars, bistros and boutiques. Not at all my scene to be honest but it did give the area an elegance which followed into the hotel. The grand reception was a delight and although check in was busy the staff were obviously being as efficient as they could and the concierge was a pleasant chap. The room was decorated tastefully with a modern twist on a Scottish theme which certainly lifted my spirits and the bathroom was clean and soothing. All in all a great location and choice. Well done.
“loved the whole experience”
This was a great overall experience. I will definitely go back to The George Hotel. We were treated nicely. Everyone was friendly. The location was within walking distance of the bus depot and the Royal Mile. There were great shops just a block over and plenty of places to eat within walking distance. Our view out our window was spectacular. I did have to get used to daylight lasting until 10:30 and sunrise starting by 4:30. Thank goodness for great drapery in the rooms.
“Best Hotel in Edinburgh”
The hotel were fantastic. It was a special weekend and we put a request in at the time of booking and my parents were given the best room and treats in their room. They could not fault the hotel and would definately stay there again. The staff were friendly and helpful *****

Very nice hotel with a great location. Very central. The staff were curious and helpful in recommending restaurants, car rental services, and buses. I would definitely stay there again.

Beautiful hotel, large modern entrance with professional and friendly staff. Large spacious rooms, with comfortable bed and clean bathroom. Very relaxing enviroment and a great time was spent in the hotel bar and resturant. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

The hotel is within walking distance of many of the city's best sites. The rooms were comfortable and clean and the staff was friendly and accommodating.
