“Days Hotel is Fine”
This is a busy, bustling hotel with a professional staff. It's big, and people bring their kids there, so be prepared for a lot of activity. However, the rooms are quiet and the overall effect is just fine. It's what you would expect in the states for a Days Inn--reasonable price and reliable accommodations. Good breakfasts and an excellent value, all in all.
“Great hotel for families”
spent two nights in the new Carlton Hotel Galway and was impressed with the cleanliness of the hotel and room, the friendly service, and the amenities - free parking, leisure center - my 2 year old daughter used the pool and loved it! there are many depths in the pool that allow young children to walk around and play on their own along the edges of the pool where there are sitting benches. we brought our own swim cap and really enjoyed the pool! the breakfast was good and filling and the dinner was not bad. my husband was able to request milk for my daughter from the bar late at night and they gladly accomdated.

“Spacious”
Travelling with 3 children, I felt this hotel met our needs perfectly. We had a 2 bedroom suite so we had a lot of room. The hotel staff was so helpful and friendly that I would recommend it for families. The pool was a nice break for the week long travelling thru Ireland that we were doing prior to arriving at this hotel. It was close to stores and sites. We were a bit confused when pulling into the hotel because the outside of the building we had to drive around didn't look that nice but we realized that the hotel was hidden behind an ice arena that was being built.
“Good Value”
This Hotel is a great value for the money. It is big and busy, but all in all the rooms are quiet and clean. The only draw back to this hotel is its distance to Galway City center (eg. the restaurants and pedestrian areas) which is about a 30-40 minute good-paced walk or 5-10 minute drive. However we would stay here again.

“Good Hotel - Great Leisure facilities”
Good Hotel with good facilities. Particularly liked the Gym and leisure facilities. Rooms were very comfortable particularly the beds.
“Days hotel, Galway”
Pleasant hotel with friendly staff. Further out of town than I expected, a good 30minute walk. Frequent buses go past the hotel so no real problem. A taxi cost around 9 euros. A taxi to the hotel from Galway airport was 15 euros.
“OK for the price paid”
Breakfast was disappointing. Limited hot choices, no pastries and awful tea! female bar staff were surly, however the male bar staff were friendly. We had a room in A block and found the noise from the corridor outside the room quite intrusive, not just from noisy guests (which the hotel cannot be blamed for) but from the floorboards which were very creaky. Swimming pool great - never too busy. We were overall happy with our stay at the price we paid for it, however had we paid the price the hotel quoted we would have been disappointed.
