"Very enjoyable stay with family. Comfortable rooms, pleasant staff, decent breakfast and a la carte, useful games room and squash court. 5 mins walk to restaurants for lunch or dinner. Nice ocean view. 45 mins from airport and 30 mins to Funchal. On quiet part of island which we preferred and hired a car. Would recommend. Hotel was a little dark and if outdoor pools were heated we could swim comfortably. Large hotel. We parked along the road for free. Weather changes a lot in Madeira and different weather in each town. "

"A wonderful property. Elegant and luxurious. Full of the charm of an older era but with every modern convenience and comfort of a true 5 star hotel of today. The management and staff were outstanding . Beautiful setting overlooking Funchal and the sea, surrounded by very pretty gardens. A perfect holiday "
