"I cannot in good conscience recommend this hotel to anybody. Here are the reasons:
1) the key reader in the elevators doesn't always work. This means you get in, and you can't get your floor put in, you end up on a random floor. Then you ride all the way to the ground floor to try again. This happened to me three times in a one night stay.
2) they have a "facilities" charge of $48+ per day. This is similar to what Vegas resorts charge for their resort fee. It's not disclosed when you make your booking (or if it is, it's so hidden that it's very easily overlooked). They just charge you at check-in. Surprise!
3) They actually charge you to store your bags. If you are checking in, it's $2/bag. If you're checking out, it's $3/Bag. I've never ever been charged a fee to store my bags at a hotel. Never. This one is a first for me.
4) you want cups in your bathroom? Go to the 4th floor. That's where they keep them. Hope your card reader works, otherwise you end up on the 16th floor. No cups on the 16th floor, either. Just on the 4th.
The hotel is well located, within steps of Times Square and directly across the street from the theater where "Hamilton" is playing. If location is your primary objective, and you don't care about anything else at all, then this would be a fine hotel."
