Finding the reception was the hardest part because when you first walk in you have to figure out where it's at. (It was on the 5th floor or something, I don't remember) The area around is amazing, very close to Osaka Castle (About 15min walk/5min taxi) The view of the river is beautiful especially when the boats are going by. It's connected to a massive mall that has lots of food and shops. I spent a lot of money on the cheap and delicious sushi at the Moyori City shop!

This hotel located right above the stations, so easy access for tourist. Hotel is old and outdated but it's clean and big enough. There's restaurants and shopping places by this hotel. Very convenient hotel.

above subway station
I stayed at the Osaka castle hotel for 2 nights the hotel is in an ideal location above a shopping mall and the subway station also close by to Osaka castle attraction. The hotel it self has a lot of potential and looks very appealing. However I must say, I was very disappointed the room was Very dated and is in need of a desperate face lift. Very old bathroom looking and needs modernising. The room appeared to be quite clean however there was an unpleasant smell. The staff I found was pleasant and helpful some difficulty with communicating in English but overall no issues. I did not have breakfast in this hotel so can't comment on the food. The price per night for the rooms was reasonable but I think the hotel needs to seriously Modernise their rooms big time. I would Consider staying here again in the future on the condition that the rooms were updated otherwise I would choose many other hotels in Osaka that are available.

Great hotel
Located near Osaka castle & metres from subway, friendly staff who spoke excellent English. 1000 yen just you a movie card for 24hrs. Reception is on the 7th/8th floor.

Extraordinary service
We arrived very late Sunday evening. My daughter had a problem that required her to go to an eye clinic immediately. Unfortunately, all of the major eye clinics in Osaka were closed until Monday morning. One of the people at the front desk called around and somehow found one that was open. He even came with us to interpret (the whole trip took nearly two hours and we got back to the hotel at 1 am!). If he had not found the clinic, we would have had a major problem. I have never seen that level of service before. My family and I are extremely grateful.

OK for the price
We chose this hotel mainly for the price. The location is actually quite good, but the rooms themselves not that much. Our room was facing indoor roof and opposite wall, so it could have as well not had window. The furniture is a bit worn down.

Near to Subway station.
This hotel is located above the Subway station, which makes it great if you are taking the public transport. The subway station is also linked to a shopping mall. Room was rather small and the double bed was a 5 foot bed. Hardly any walking space when you open up your luggage. It is better to ask for 2 single beds, at least you get a 6 foot bed if you combined the two. Breakfast was average. Same type of food served during our 5 nights stay. Room cleanliness is good and nice view of the river when you have your breakfast. Generally, the service of the staff was good, but it would be better if the front desk staff can be more proficient in English. But then again, this is Japan and we have to excuse them. If I were to stay in this hotel again, would definitely ask for 2 single beds.

Pleasant stay
The room is clean, the staff is polite, amenities provided is sufficient. The location is good for those who is taking subway, however it's a bit inconvenient for those who drives as the parking lot is a bit far.

Very close to Osaka Castle, nice hotel
Osaka Castle is maybe 5-10 minutes walk from this place so you're not going to get much closer, which meant I could see the castle the same day I arrived, thus saving a day's sightseeing. The lobby and public areas of the hotel are very nice, and the staff were really helpful, even though I arrived early they cleaned my room in 15 minutes and let me in early which was really great of them. My room itself was really big as far as these things go, but maybe in need of some decorating as it was looking a bit tired but otherwise great. There's no wifi, only wired internet which meant I had to go out and get a cable but this was the only real downside. If you're not in town for long and want to see the castle, this is ideal, its also right above a subway stop so great links to other places. Breakfast is buffet style, so you can fill yourself up, worth getting!

Great room and view
We had 6 nights in Osaka and this hotel was perfect for us as the family room was extremely large by Japanese standards and perfect for a family of four. Advantages: - Large room with a fantastic view of the river - Walking distance to Osaka Castle and park - Above subway station and shopping mall; coin laundry nearby (ask staff for directions) - Helpful staff Disadvantages: - No wifi and in-room LAN connection very slow

This was my first stay in Osaka so I wasn't sure what to expect. Until I get used to how the public transport works it's always a little difficult. Osaka is a little more difficult to get around that Kyoto or even Tokyo. However, Hotel Osaka Castle is above Tenmabashi Station so once I got a handle on the Metro it was great. The hotel is only about a 30 minute walk for Osaka Castle. It is about the same distance for the Osaka History Museum which I enjoyed very much. The hotel is also on the Ohkawa River so it's nice to have a walk or just rest on the esplanade along the river. There are also many places to eat under the hotel. All in all a good place to stay.

Walking distance to Osaka Castle with good shopping possibilies. Rooms are standard small as others in Japan, but comfortable enough. Breakfast restaurant with good view to river side. Hope the staff speak more English.

This is a good clean economical
This is a good clean economical hotel in a good location in Osaka. Not only near Osaka castle but also near an underground metro station that allows you to traverse the city. The restaurant is very good with a selection of Japanese and western foods, well cooked and presented. The view to the river from the restaurant is really nice. The hotel can be busy at times with many companies using it for seminars etc. But overall a good clean affordable hotel......dont expect the shangri la but then again you are not paying as much either are you?

This is the first time we have
This is the first time we have stayed at this hotel. Overall, it's good in terms of service and location. Have found that many hotels generally do not have WIFI or free internet unlike other countries, but I will give this hotel top marks for free internet usage ( if you have your own laptop) Will definitely recommend just for this facility.
