Very disappointing- I booked through Expedia and the price I expected- they charged me a destination fee- which I am also fine with. When we checked out we decided to get a t-shirt for my youngest and they said they would just put the shirt on our room which was also fine. Later that day I received an invoice that charged me an additional fee for the t-shirt (expected) an upgrade which we didn’t ask for nor receive and another charge for the destination fee. After calling Hotel Kabuki the guy repeatedly told me it was for the coffee and water (neither of which I got). I tried to explain that I was charged twice for the destination fee and he seemed to not care. This was a hassle and seemed very deceptive.

I say with zero exaggeration that this is the best hotel I have ever stayed in. The staff is extraordinary, the rooms are amazing and clean, the views are beautiful. Definitely returning.

Incredible location, great views, and good food options within walking distance. The hotel room was clean. The only downside to our stay was that the bed was very uncomfortable/rock solid. Other than that great place!

The hotel was very clean and the staff was very friendly. The amenities at the hotel were great including a nice coffee/tea station. The location worked perfect for us and is very walkable. Would not hesitate to stay here again the next time we are in San Francisco.

The mattress and pillows are just right. Clean and kinda japandi-industrial interior style. I love the many comfy chairs and sofas in the lobby. Book the top floor and you'll find amazing an amazing view of the city and the skies. The lobby is awesome and free coffee (Red Bay) and teas next to their bar. Bring your own slippers, we bought our own from Daiso downstairs or maybe you could call and request, bit we didn't do that. I also didnt like the smell of the bath robe, so i didnt use it. It was clean though, maybe it was just me. I love the shower and the toilet, as well as the Jonathan Adler toiletries. Staff are super nice and honest. The toilet paper though is 1 star, but at least the facial tissue are good. I love that it's quiet, and the temperature in the room is great. We like that it's modern and not traditional. I'm glad we chose to stay here. We really had a very relaxing time away from work.

Very convenient hotel if you want to enjoy Japan town and Fillmore district. Small parking lot but have one spot for EV charging. Staff were very friendly. Comfortable beds and a clean room. Would recommend!

Overall, not bad. Although some unexpected things happened, neither me or the hotel could provide enough self-clarification, right? In addition, the air conditioner is very loud and annoying. Expect that, the hotel staff are friendly and the environment is very clean. It is close to a shopping mall and is very convenient for dining and shopping.

One night at Hotel Kabuki
Serene,beautiful boutique hotel. Very nice friendly staff. I was here to attend a family birthday party at Nari. The food was served over 12 courses, each incredibly crafted, gourmet.My city view king size bed was large & spacious with amazing Japanese modern & classical art.

We enjoyed our staycation on New Year's Eve in a loft suite which is enormous. Property is in the Japantown complex so lots of good ramen/sushi options. Hotel bar was convenient but expensive. Appreciated the free water and coffee station in the lobby.

Great hotel and service
Loved our stay here. We were in a King(consulate) suite which was very spacious and comfortable. We had our daughter on the sofa bed and it felt like she had her own bedroom with the wood slat partition. Joe and Michael were friendly and helpful, they made our stay very enjoyable. The free coffee and tea station was a lifesaver to start and end each day. Our only complaint would be the buffett breakfast. Everything was dried out....the sausage, eggs, hash browns and pastries were dry and hard. Fruit wasn't the freshest. Very disappointing for $84 after tax and tip for two people. Although, there aren't any other options around for breakfast.

When booking, be aware there is no heat in the Tower section until evening. Overall, this is a nice property. The staff are efficient and responsive. However, when a guest is paying close to $500 a night (Tower Corner Room), there should be basic expectation such as heat. Also, this property shouldn’t charge a “resort fee.” The coffee/espresso machine wasn’t working. Not sure what amenities are being offered.

Overall a nice stay. The lobby area is nice. The rooms are a little small - no drawers, desk chair was almost touching bed. But the was clean, bed was comfortable. Mall next to hotel has many great dining options.

Love the hotel! Excellent service, room cleaned, coffee in room and free coffee and tea bar in lobby, bar, restaurant, ovely aesthetic. Only issues were scratchy toilet paper, and Jonathan Adler soap and shampoo were harsh smelling, I could t wash the scent away. But a gorgeous stay, we will be back!

I have been staying at the Kabuki when in town for quite a few years. The staff is wonderful, warm and helpful. The decor is fun and comfortable; not pretentious in any way. The location is like no other. Japantown is in the heart of the City, and close to so much. I walked to everything I needed to get to.

Couple of days in the city.
The beds are lumpy and uncomfortable, need another chair in the room, not just a desk chair. Need a cafe or restaurant other than the very expensive Japanese restaurant. Did go over to the shopping center to get something to eat.
