St. Isaacs Cathedral, St. Petersburg Hotels
French-born architect Auguste Montferrand built St. Isaacs Cathedral in the mid-19th century. It was built to the main church of the Russian Empire. The church can accommodate 14,000 worshippers and is used today mostly a museum. A highlight of the church is its huge icon wall that separates it from the rest of the church. It is decorated with eight malachite and two lapus lazali columns.
