Our Best Price Guarantee

We all like to get value for money, and there's nothing worse than booking a Hotel or a Flight + Hotel (when booked together) and then finding it cheaper elsewhere, so we've come up with the following guarantee:

Hotel Only Bookings:

If you book and pay for a hotel room on Expedia.ie and later find a lower rate for your hotel room on our site or another site just let us know and we'll refund the difference to you. It's that easy.

For hotel bookings, unlike some other sites, we don't just give you 24 hours from the date you book your hotel. If you find a lower price any time up to 48 hours pre check in just let us know and we'll match the price - so it doesn't matter if you find a lower price 3 hours or 3 months after you book, our Hotel Best Price Guarantee still applies.

Of course, the lower price you find needs to be like for like - the same hotel, dates, length of stay, rate plan, room type, and include all taxes and fees - but it really is that simple.

Flight + Hotel Bookings (when booked together):

If you book and pay for a Flight + Hotel (at the same time) on Expedia.ie and WITHIN 48 HOURS find a lower rate for your Flight + Hotel combination on our site or another site just let us know and we'll refund the difference to you. It's that easy.

Of course, the lower price you find needs to be like for like - the same dates, flight number, flight times, length of stay, hotel, room type and rate plan and include all taxes and fees - but it really is that simple.

The Expedia Best Price Guarantee is subject to the Terms and Conditions (below), and only applies to pre-paid Hotel Bookings and Flight + Hotel Bookings (when booked together).

Terms & Conditions

  1. Best Price Guarantee (hotel only bookings) - If you book and pay for a hotel room on Expedia .ie and later find a lower rate for the same room on Expedia.ie or on another website 48 HOURS BEFORE CHECK-IN, we will refund the difference to you. The Expedia Best Price Guarantee applies only to standalone prepaid hotel reservations made with Expedia.ie. The comparison must be to the same hotel bookable on a standalone basis (not as part of a package or Flight+Hotel deal).
  2. Best Price Guarantee (flight + hotel bookings) - If you book and pay for a flight + hotel booking (when booked together) on Expedia.ie and later find a lower rate for the same flight + hotel combination subject to the same conditions on Expedia.ie or on another website WITHIN 48 HOURS OF BOOKING, we will refund the difference to you.
  3. Submitting a Claim – To be eligible for the Best Price Guarantee you need to submit your request using the Best Price Guarantee form 48 hours pre-check or within 48 hours of booking if claiming for a Flight+Hotel.
  4. Comparison Must Be to Same Itinerary under the Same Conditions - The Best Price Guarantee is only available for exact itinerary matches, including the same flight, flight number, flight times, hotel, room type, rate plan, applicable refund and cancellation policy, and dates of hotel stay as booked through Expedia.ie. The Best Price Guarantee applies to the full cost of booked travel, including all taxes and fees. It is not available for reservations on websites where the hotel name or other booking details are unknown until after purchase. You must meet all requirements imposed on the lower price (if any), including, without limitation, residency, regional and age-related requirements to claim under the Best Price Guarantee.
  5. Comparison Must Be Available to the General Public - The Best Price Guarantee only applies to prices both advertised and available to the general public or on a website directed at consumers in Ireland. For example, this does not include rates offered on membership programme websites; corporate discounts or rates; group, charter, rewards programme, incentive, meeting, convention, consolidator or interline prices; prices obtained via auction or similar process; or prices available only by using a coupon or other promotion not offered to the general public. The lower rate may not come from a website where you call to get the rate, or from an e-mail that you received. The rate must be quoted and bookable in the same currency as your Expedia.ie booking (without reference to currency converters).
  6. Claim Verification - All requests for the Best Price Guarantee are subject to verification by Expedia.co.uk. We will not accept screenshots or other purported evidence of a lower price that we cannot independently confirm. Nor will we verify or fulfill any request that we believe, at our sole discretion, is the result of a printing or other error, or is made fraudulently or in bad faith. Verified requests will receive a credit to the card used for the booking. It may take up to 30 days or the next billing cycle for the credit to appear on your statement.
  7. Changes - We reserve the right in our sole discretion to modify or discontinue the Best Price Guarantee or to restrict its availability to any person, at any time, for any or no reason, and without prior notice or liability to you. The terms that are on the Expedia.ie website at the time of your claim will determine your eligibility under the Best Price Guarantee. Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms & Conditions shall not constitute a waiver of that provision. The terms of the Best Price Guarantee are governed by English law.
