We came for the Northern Soul event for the first time. We enjoyed our stay, it was very relaxing and good value for money. The position of the hotel was great with an easy walk to the old town. Staff were excellent all round. Loved our room overlooking the avenue with the sun streaming in. Happy days. Thankyou we will be back .

A large complex. Our studio was adequate. The wifi was very intermittent and only really worked in the bathroom. The cable channels offered very little in english and pictures broke up regularly. Staff did attend quickly to any requests. This was a budget holiday so I guess you get what you pay for and did represent decent value for money

The property is well located (10 min walk from new town, 15 from old town) and the staff were friendly however it is in serious need of renovations. While it was practically ok, the rooms and corridors were very dull and basic. Good for a family holiday

I liked the reception and bar service. The cleaning was not so good as the last time I stayed in Paraiso . However Paraiso us my favourite ,when I want holiday in Albufeira .

Arrived very late at night and our room was very unclean (pubic hairs in bathroom, dirty bedding sheets and a unclean kitchen) also had a strong smell of cigar smoke, and loud music from the bar below this was at 1am. After complaining to the reception we were told there was no manager on until the morning so eventually the following day got moved. Next room was slightly better but not the cleanest room I've stayed in. Also my partner had an accident on the baloncy falling through the plastic balcony chair hurting his back and the only apology we got was a fruit basket. Wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. Stay away!

Overall hotel is good value. only slight negatives were the cleanliness of rooms, seemed as if cleaner only gave it a very quick once over, and the pool area had some very drunk people towards the end of the day and these people were not spoken to or controlled by any staff.

Very well worn, family hotel
In need of desperate refurbishment & lots of maintenance, pool VERY cold not heated, NOT enough sun beds and you have to pay for lounger cushions!!!! Remember to get up early and reserve your sunbed , as no rules apply , they leave from 6.30am onwards , how crazy !!!

Excellent location, great value for money
We went to Albufeira for a stag weekend. Hotel was in an excellent location. The hotel itself looked smart and clean throughout. There was always staff on hand to help you out. I think we booked one of the cheaper rooms as the beds were pretty hard but it was a stag weekend after all so that's no great shakes. Only a couple of points: - why have a diving board and not be allowed to use it? - as a recommendation maybe have waiter service pool side Would definitely stay there again though without a shadow of doubt! Excellent value for money!

Family Holiday
We returned to this hotel again for the second year running. We find the hotel very comfortable and clean. Rooms are cleaned every day and bedding and towels changed and are very spacious. We used the self catering kitchen in our room and found a great range of food at the local supermarket.The facilities are just what we need and the staff are so friendly and helpful and will sort out any problems you may have.The hotel was busier this year than when we stayed there at this time last year but the standard was still very good. We booked trips through the hotel and enjoyed them. The hotel is in a great position, inbetween the old and new towns, there are many local shops and eating places and of course the supermarket. The hotel has a courtesy bus to the old town several times a day, the road train stops just near the hotel and the hop on and hop off bus, stops at the hotel, we used all of these methods of transport on several occasions during our stay. The only negative thing i could say about this hotel is the pool is very cold, but after a while you do get used to it, and that was the only negative comment i had last year as well, but it doesnt stop us going back. We are hoping to go back again next year for the third time.

Beautiful Hotel with wonderful staff
The staff are very helpful and fast to react, the food is very tasty, different activities to join in and very close to the beach. I didn't expect two single beds and kitchen that gave me opportunity to cook the food love to eat.

Our experience
We spent a very pleasant 2 weeks and had nothing but friendliness from the front-of-house Staff, all of whom went out of their way to make our stay brilliant. Being in the Winter/Spring and "out of season", the Hotel was quieter than in the "Season", but that suited us perfectly. We had a view over the (empty) Swimming pool, and made use of the Minigolf which caused an immense amount of laughter, and no little frustration when my wife "fluked" the occasional hole-in-one! The room was more than adequate for our needs, and the beds were comfortable, but not luxurious. The food was reasonable, our being on Half Board, with the Breakfast being totally adequate, and the Dinner being reasonable, both in variety and quality, but I had to remark to the Assistant Manager the the bay-Maries were not always hot enough to keep the food as hot as they should be. This was our ONLY concern, and there were improvements made. I do NOT recommend the Travel Shop nearest to the Hotel, as the Staff told lies when a comment was made about a Historical Tour that was very poor, and the lies were followed by further unpleasantness. The SHACK at the top of the Strip was excellent, however. We intend to return to Portugal again in the near future, but would appreciate a golf Course that was more reasonable in price than the ones in Villeneuva! £80.00 is too much, being out of season as it was.

The hotel was generally good but desk staff were very inexperienced and unable or unwilling to follow through for guests requests. It might be alright if you are from Spain but not too helpful for non speaking Spanish guests. Room was good except that the only chair to sit upon was a hard backed kitchen chair. Not very relaxing for extended stays. It was a good location for accessibility to restaurants, bars, etc. No beach access but great pool area.

Touristy hotel with pools etc
I stayed for one night in Oct 2015 on a 4 day trip through Portugal starting in Albufeira. Being autumn and non tourist season the hotel room was very cheap. I'm not sure how much more it costs during summer but its an older dated hotel and rating accordingly. OK I guess for a few days in the warm summer sun.

The Paraiso is a big hotel so be prepared for a lot of walking to and from the room. The pool area and the outdoor pool are excellent ( this time of the year "October" it was not crowded which was great. The hotel is getting old and serious maintenance needed if they are going to keep the 4 * - but no complains from our side as we certainly did not pay 4* price for the stay. The staff is not very knowledgeable and too few at check in and check out times - "not my area " seems to be a standard phrase. Signes could be better as there are several elevator ares for different floors. More up to date snack restaurants / restaurants - smaller with a better priced choises is needed especially for the children. Selling melted and re frosted icecream at the pool bar is not an option. Overall we loved the activities for the children.

I wouldn't recommend this hotel to my worst enemy. Cockroaches in the rooms & hallways. Very antiquated and outdated 4* I don't think so.

Brill hotel easy check in rooms kitted out with full kitchen towels changed daily if ur in the room the maid will come back pool good size loads of loungers u can rent towels or mattresses for them brilliant snack bar at pool holiday reps doing things for children all the time entertainment at night staff printed off my boarding passes hotel has little shops inside it u can walk to strip in new town and hotel does courtesy bus to and from old town which is good not sure if all inclusive is a bonus seen signs it was only till 11pm in the bar and cocktails u had to pay food not expensive we were here in end of September I'd say during high season this hotel would be very busy tho no wifi was a down side
