The location of this hotel is brilliant. I would definitely stay here again. The balcony was slightly small and the hotel and room information available in the room was limited.

The room was not very clean and the hotel set up is catered for mass tourism. If thats ok with you then this place should be fine.

We found it difficult to find the entrance to the hotel as approached from the train station. There is extensive work being done on the the buildings and no signs or directions, and no notification from either the hotel or Expedia to alert us to this. The room itself was good on the whole, but it boasted soundproofing and this was most certainly not the case. We were disturbed by noise throughout the evening and in the night. The view of the sea was somewhat obstructed by deep walls either side of the balcony, which would not have been a problem if I had known about it at time of booking, but the view offered when booking offered a different perspective. The decaf coffee was horrible. I am only this picky because of the promise of the place and the fact that it was pretty expensive. The staff were all pleasant and helpful, facilities varied and food was okay. It was clean and the toiletries were very nice. The free trial size toiletry gifts were welcome.

The room we ordered was a superior double which had a window balcony but we were on 1st floor with no viiew of the port and no sunshine due the angle of the balcony area Hotel was not full so cam only assume we were taken as non complainers Wont book this again

Beautiful beach front hotel. Rooms very spacious and clean. Staff friendly and polite. We had booked a premium room overlooking the marina. We didn’t realise renovation work was being carried out on the hotel and the room we were allocated overlooked this making it extremely noisy and didn’t have a very nice view. The hotel upgraded us immediately to a room with a beautiful view and away from the noise. Fabulous service from Valerie on reception- thank you.

I booked based on location and reputation but I wasn’t impressed by the hotel in comparison to the pictures. However every team member we met was lovely, plus the breakfast was excellent. For me the room was disappointing, I thought i was booking luxury based on the pictures and price. Although booking a sea view it was a small balcony angled to the side so you get a smaller viewpoint of the sea view, you are set back so the building walls jut out. I would have needed to pay even more for the ‘full’ seaview. The headboard had gouges out of it, made room feel tatty. The toilet paper was a grade off of tracing paper and by the time i was in the shower it was too late to report it wasn’t getting hot. So- the location and staff excellent, the room average.

The Hotel is being renovated, expect construction noise, workers fights, the hallway was full of construction dirt, patio windows did not lock properly letting wind and noise coming in all night. All this was reported to the front desk after check-in, but nothing was solved.

Nice location, close to everything. The hotel is well maintained, staff is responsive. I booked a Junior Suite. It had a desk. However there were no electric sockets to plug in my laptop charger, I had to unplug the lamp.

Despite advertising the room as soundproof, it absolutely was not. You hear everything loudly in the halls as if there was no door. I even heard children despite it being an adults only section. The bartender at Bribone was rude to me twice. I stopped going. The customer service seemed uncaring and unwelcoming to me. I’ve stayed here several times, this time makes me not want to return.

Poor service
Check in was wonderful, the room was spacious, comfortable, and clean. I had a balcony and it was nice to have the door open for fresh air. The noise from outside was very loud all night. The room was too hot to close the door, the thermostat was set permanently (for the season at 18C). I tried to order room service for about 45 minutes, only to be disconnected each time. I called the front desk and was transferred to room service, only to be disconnected. Eventually, I was able to order. The food was adequate. In the morning I went downstairs and confirmed the taxi that I had arranged the night before. I was told that the taxi was on its way. I waited inside. A young man came downstairs and asked to have a taxi called. As the time got closer for my ride, I went outside. A taxi arrived. I stepped forward, then the hotel security officer stepped forward and put the young man ahead of me into the taxi. I asked for an explanation as we were both going to the airport. The security officer claimed to not speak English, which he did speak English, because he spoke to me inside. Another cab driver said that it was just the way it was…unacceptable. Oh yes, I was extremely upset. It was not a minor miscommunication. It was blatant in regards to being a man and having priority. The service overall was poor. Room was nice, clean, modern… Service was substandard. Would not recommend.

Lovely 4 night stay
The hotel was so conveniently situated, the airport bus C-6 stops right outside. Close to the restaurants, bars and shops and all the historical sites in the Old Town. The views of Postiguet beach are fabulous, especially when having breakfast,(photo added) which was really nice, lots of choice. Downside was the noise from the next room- they either had the TV on very loud or the walls are thin. There are some building works going on at the moment so that started earlier than anticipated, but not on the Sat/Sun, so that was OK.

Great value quality hotel for visit to Alicante !
The attentive personal customer service is world class and the front desk team were superb in (a) meeting our request for a higher floor room and (b) in dealing with a few minor issues which arose during our staff . The premier room was spacious with a really comfortable king bed and notably good external soundproofing . The blackout curtains are a bonus as we gained some extra restful undisturbed lie in during our short 3 nights stay . The location and facilities of the hotel are excellent and of real value for visitors new to Alicante .

Great hotel. The only problem was that I was put into one of those rooms that had a connecting door and coumd hear a lot of noise from the next room. The walls must be paper thin on these adjoining rooms. Other than that, this is a great place to stay ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We loved the Meliá Alecante. The staff were all friendly smiley and helpful. The breakfast buffet was super and very extensive with lots of choices. We had dinner every night on half board basis and the range of options, quality of food and service were all first rate. The management noticed it was my wife’s birthday and when we got back to the room there was a birthday message and some petit fours for her. A lovely touch!

Staff seemed overwhelmed and not helpful. Check in was annoying as we had someone “in training” and no one supervising him. Had no towels in our room when we checked in. The hotel had a smell.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel . The only drawback was the Wi-Fi which can be poor at times . I would definitely stay again .
