Nice and helpful staff; area is noisy you can’t sleep with open windows like we do ; if you like Air Conditioning then you close the windows and you hear nothing; the available breakfast at the restaurant is very very limited.

In general I have enjoyed my stay , however , I got disappointed when I realized that they do not accept credit cards for their spa , which is so weird to me . Overall the my experience was positive.

The staff were very kind and helpful and the location was great for shopping at reasonable prices . The massage spa is really nice for relaxation after a long business day .

excellent customer service- we were going to miss the breakfast we have paid for (given we were leaving very early to the airport) so we were allowed to have the breakfast at check-in! the lady at check-in was very professional and showed excellent customer service skills.

Ok but needs some improvement
Smoking is allowed in the hallways by the elevator So you need a room away from this if you don’t smoke. Breakfast needs to be improved for 4 stars. Overall ok.

I didn't like the front desk girl at the check in. She was looking at her computer without getting any attention to us. Even she knows we are standing by for the check in. Even didn't bother to say Hi. Also after handling her the reservation through expedia informed us has to wait because the reservation isn't in the system yet. We have a paper printed reservation shewed it to her but insisted to wait instead of check us in and get the details later on.

The decor was unique—old-fashioned in contrast to so many contemporary hotels. They kindly upgraded us to an Executive suite so we had lots of room. Most importantly, the room was incredibly quiet despite being in the middle of Hamra. Staff were very friendly and spoke English very well.

In my 5th days into my 1 month stay, I had a life emergency that dictated I have to run back home to Montreal (Wife developed brain metastasis and was about to undergo emergency brain surgery). I contacted the Expedia team, and they wonderfully found a plane flight for me the next day to come back home (at no extra cost or penalty). The expedia team tried to ask the hotel for a refund or at least a voucher for the remainder 3 weeks that I did not stay in the hotel but I was absent,, Golden Tulip Serenda Hotel chose to profit for my misery and refused everything. SHAME on Golden Tulip. Expedia well advised to drop this hotel from their client list.

Good location, hotel is average
Stayed here as it was near a conference I was attending. They're obviously trying, there's a lot of earnest follow up but the hotel is quite loud with very thin walls. The staff were all friendly and courteous. Breakfast is not very good, and although the Lebanese food from the attached restaurant is very good, some guests may prefer some international choices on room service as well. The local area is great though, lots of bars and restaurants and shops. Apart from the noise, the room itself was comfortable if a little dated and faded. One thing to note though, hotel wifi is TERRIBLE. This is partly due to infrastructure issues in Beirut.

Excellent location & radicilous slow wifi
The hotel is in a perfect location at the heart of Hamra street . but it is noisy hotel due to the wedding Hall and night resturant they have with loud live music . the free wifi they provide is suck . very slow in a way that you can't even watch youtube or watsup video. When I complained they offer me premium internet at extra $20 which is not acceptable at all . they have to provide good wifi for free like most of hotels un Beirut.

While we strive to provide the highest levels of service in the Hotel, please bear in mind that the Internet service in Lebanon experiences some interruptions and loss of packets that is beyond our control (attributed to aging infrastructure and limited international gateway capacity). We monitor the network continuously and contact our service provider to quickly react and adjust routes in order to reduce down time and maintain bandwidth. Nevertheless, from our experience most of the complaints are attributed to customer devices not hooking up properly with the wifi system. Did you ask for assistance from our team? Classic hotel in the center of Hamra
I first stayed here in the fall of 2010 and am pleased to see that the Serenada is aging with grace. The hotel is well maintained and the staff nice. Special mention to the excellent 7th floor Eden Spa.
