Front desk staff nice and courteous. Our room was a king bed room. The bed wasn’t a king size, but instead 2 twin beds were put next to each other and we were feeling it. The shampoo provided by the hotel wasn’t smelling good.

It’s an Interesting decore and I love the breakfast buffet. Fresh food, presentation and good environment. A large variety of items to choose from. I didn’t like the smell as I walked into the room. Quite stuffy and moldy. The sink was clogged and the toilet was broken. After flushing I had to open the tank and manually press the pump to let the tank filled up. I actually fixed it up my self. So they should pay me for plumbing services. The toilet seat has yellow stains. I would say they haven’t invested in maintaining the rooms in about 10 years. To be honest the toilet seat was pretty disgusting. I had to cover it every time I used it. They yellow stains and some cracks seamed like they filled it up with caulking. Just buy a toilet seat please they are not that expensive! Recepción doesn’t have a map of the city only one with the shops. They guy at the reception didn’t have a lot of knowledge of the important places to visit. His English was good enough to give ok directions.

Perfect hotel
The hotel is in a perfect location just in front of Zaitouna bay, you just need to cross the street, Also it's 5 min. walking distance to Em Sherif cafe and Babel cafe, and 10. min. walking to a big and nice shopping mall name: souk Beirut (cinema city), there is a guy his name Ali ask about him in the reception, he is perfect in making reservations and well connected, he can book you a table in any place, even last minute!

My stay at the Monroe was fine; Excellent location,very nice view,reasonable prices..but breakfast was ordinary although personnel were very friendly, I had 3 unfortunate accidents..first i booked a room with a big jumbo bed yet I got a double bed and double mattress with a tiny junction in between which was painful,they offered to help and change room but with no actual follow up. Second, I had a severe urticaria me and my wife which we ‘re not sure whether it’s the bed sheets,laundry detergent or the different shower gel that they placed and we spent a couple of nights on medications..finally a mishap..the door battery was drained and we spent a few minutes out to change.. Minibar was empty,yet they offered 2 small mineral bottles daily. The overall stay was 8/10 and I will definitely go back to Monroe again for its marvelous location and hospitality.

Desperate need of an update but great location
Hotel is very outdated. Bathroom was old, nowhere to put soap and shampoo and the door didnt lock. No iron and ironing board, you had to leave to a communal ironing room. Bed linen felt like you were at home not a hotel. The whole hotel needs a desperate update. Location is great!

The Hotel is well located beside Beirut Downtown; Hammering noises are heard due to some construction works. Toilet sanitary need to be changed; no blower, no ironing machine and they didn't accept to provide one. No extra blanket or Pillows. Safe is not working.

The hotel is facing the Sea , and I have reserved a room with Sea view , it had a marvelous view. comfortable bed , strong A/C . the minibar was empty , however the hotel offered daily 2 bottles of water complementary . the breakfast buffet cost 20$/ person , and it was ok , but can be better with much choices. check out is strict at noon time . there is a promenade to walk by the sea with restaurants and coffee shops by the sea. I had dinner at the hotel , and it was ok .

Comfortable hotel close to the Corniche
The Monroe Hotel is well located within walking distance of the corniche and the Beirut Souks shopping & dining area. The rooms are comfortable and clean with tea and coffee making facilities and complimentary mineral water left each day. The staff are most obliging whether arranging taxis, room service or simply providing information. This was my second stay and should I return to Beirut I would book this hotel again.

The hotel could use a little bit of updating, and I didn't like that the beds are right next to each other and share a blanket. I expected two separate beds. Service at the desk was mixed - could not check in at all early and received some attitude when I asked for the wifi password in the meantime. Location was good, walking distance to restaurants, shopping, and Music Hall.
