This is a very family-oriented hotel with a great location. I like very much how easy is to go from the pool to the beach, the trails for walking, running or biking, and the proximity to Peniscola and its beaches, although keeping the small-town charm.

18 Euro breakfast - coffee and plain bread
I couldnt stay till 8AM for breakfast so hotel prepared coffee and plain bread for me for 7AM, then they asked me to pay 18 Euro for my breakfast. I couldnt believe it

Very comfortable
The usual first class Parasor standard of accommodatiion and catering. The building does not have the architectural merit of sime Paradors, but it is very conveniently and scenically situated by the sea shore with easy access to the town.

The outside pool and relax area is excellent. The bar terrace was very pleasant and waiter was very friendly. Our room was very tired and in need of upgrading as was the corridor to our room. The reception staff were not very welcoming and the bar area was short staffed.

Great location, lovely gardens and pool. Rooms a little bit tired but very clean I thought the cost of the evening meal at €32.50 was expensive for buffet style.

Hotel is clean and comfortable. It is appointed nicely and has a terrific location next to the beach. We enjoyed running & walking along the boardwalk next to the hotel.

Good night rest
I stopped at the Benicarlo for 1 night on my way to the MotoGP race in Aragon. Friendly staff and a good nights rest was what I needed after traveling 10 days through Italy, Barcelona and France. I would stay here again.

A bit dated but good.
We have stayed here before. It had not changed one bit. Fabulous gardens, well maintained. Large room, nice private balcony, food OK but not quite 5 star. A perfect place to 'veg out'.

Good hotel breakfast was fantastic.
Good hotel with caring staff only issue was the poolside restaurant. Couldn't get in !

A pleasant place
The hotel was pleasant. However for the price it appeared tired. There was no coffee or tea making facilities in the room. There was also no complementary water. Breakfast was not included and was expensive. Food was only available at certain times eg in the evening you could not get food until 8.30pm which for me was to late. The grounds were excellent with access to the beach. The hotel is in a great position. I would go there again.

Terrible service...inhuman behavior
I was supposed to take a trip with my mother to the parador benicarlo. Unfortunately my mother died before the trip. I called the parador to cancel my night but they would not take responsability for reimbursing me. They directed me to to a website and company I had never heard of. Then we got caught in the papers of the funerals and could never cancel the nightIt was absolutely inhuman...having to fight for your rights when you just lost you dear parent.I will never set foot in a parador again ad will never go through Hotel.com again

Parador
Although it is a Parador, it does not have anything special about it. The hotel is relaxing, the gardens are very nice and quiet. We found it as a good base to visit Morella, Delta de Ebro and Peñiscola.

Edificio bien mantenido pero ya necesitado de remodelación. Aire acondicionado muy ruidoso, mobiliario muy limpio pero muy ajado. No tienen servicio de consigna. El personal, como es habitual en Paradores, encantador.

Los Paradores tuvieron su momento
La llegada aparatosa, la habitación hasta las 16.00 no la daban, en otros Paradores si.Llegue con dos niños, con muchos km, soñábamos con un baño en la piscina, no pudimos ni cambiarnos, tuvimos q comer primero sin ni siquiera cambiarnos, la comida no es buena.En restaurante fueron rápidos, pero la cena al aire libre eterna, muy poco personal.En fin, es una pena pq el sitio es precioso.

Lamentamos que se lleve esa impresión sobre la llegada. La hora oficial de entrada en la Comunidad Valenciana son las 16:00. Desde que el cliente abandona su habitación a las 12:00 y hasta las 16:00 se considera periodo de limpieza. Aunque bien es cierto que la mayoría los clientes disponen de la habitación antes de esa hora, siempre hay alguna habitación que tiene que esperar algo más y en estos momentos con los nuevos protocolos de desinfección es comprensible y estando con el Parador completo. En nuestra piscina disponemos de vestuarios para poder cambiarse y disfrutar de la piscina, así la espera es más amena. Agradecemos sus comentarios que nos ayudan a mejorar.

Habitación sin las características solicitadas : no adaptada a discapacidad física, en la primera planta, con un ascensor pequeño para la scooter, que funcionaba a veces, y único, dado que el otro, solía estar bloqueado por mesas. Dos horas de reloj para cenar, con platos agotados, y escasez de personal. Muy profesional pero desbordado. El inodoro perdía agua, con el consiguiente riesgo para alguien con dificultades de movilidad. Ni había plazas de parking adaptadas libres, ni plazas convencionales, porque no controlan la subida de barrera, con lo que cualquiera puede aparcar dentro. La solución que ofrecían, era aparcar donde pudieses si el coche no molestaba... En resumen:UN DESASTRE

Estimada Felisa, Lamentamos que se lleve esa impresión, es una lastima que no contactara con nosotros con antelación a su llegada para solicitar habitación adaptada, de las cuales disponemos en planta baja y que no precisan ascensor, le hubiéramos dado las mejores recomendaciones para su estancia, pero en el momento de su llegada ya estaban ocupadas por clientes también de movilidad reducida por lo que no se la pudimos ofrecer. En estos momentos de pandemia, nuestro personal está volcado en los protocolos para mayor seguridad de nuestros clientes por lo que se podrían producir, puntualmente, comprensibles retrasos. En cuanto a nuestro parking, es muy amplio y con una capacidad para todos los clientes del hotel, aplegando en muchas ocasiones varios clientes con movilidad reducida que ocupan las plazas habilitadas para ello, lamentamos que cuando ustedes llegaran ya estuvieran ocupadas. Si decidiera volver a visitarnos, rogamos contacten antes con nosotros, estaremos encantados en ayudarle y asesorarle en lo que precise para hacer su estancia más agradable y cómoda.
