Don't no where to start 4 days of hell. Building Lidl on one side. Building pool on other side drilling, banging morning until finish. Food appalling meant to be international cuisine so vile. Contacted front desk no joy unprofessional staff hadn't a clue. Kids trying to do mature staff job . Went to see customer advisor she didn't care. STAY CLEAR WILL NEVER BE BACK. HOLIDAY FROM HELL!!!!!

Reception area was lovely and inviting but found the rest off the hotel quite depressing. Dark wood on outside of rooms, rooms could do with a bit of attention. We always say hello to all staff however apart from the gentleman at the front of the restaurant and the reception staff we did not get any response.....how rude. Food was nice but in the evening the restaurant was like a school canteen. Would nor recommend this hotel.

Good base for Benidorm
The hotel is surprisingly big! But you dont notice it until your in the restaurant. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Pool area was nice, clean and relaxing. Location is good, far enough away from the night life to not affect you, but close enough to go enjoy in that it doesnt take too long to get from/to. Only negatives, hotel needs a refresh in places. For example, the bath and toilet seat both had many chips in them. The room had lots of telephone line ports, but no USB slots, so feel like it current times they should be swapped around. Was only B&B, lots of choice, but hot food wasnt always the hottest. Overall, nice hotel and would happily stay here again!

This was a very nice hotel, but Benidorm itself is a bit touristy. Lots of other little towns along the Spanish coast that are better to visit.

Public areas and pool area are lovely. Bedrooms are tired especially the bathrooms tiles are cracked body wash no longer on the wall just holes. Had to change rooms due to issues with shower room above us leaked through the ceiling then our bath leaked flooding the bedroom. Staff were not apologetic about the issues. Breakfast choice was amazing.

Lovely hotel. Clean and a great pool area. Rooms were clean and spacious. The only thing letting this hotel down is the women on reception. They are rude and check in takes forever. Overall a nice hotel though.

Lifts!! Always an issue and took ages to get a lift as 21 floors of guests is a big number especially when a couple of lifts are out of service. Reception, no system, more a free for all and the staff could not see who was next so caused a little tension when checking in/out. Otherwise, great hotel, good rooms and dining facilities (only had breakfast) pool was good with activities most days. Overall I would stay here again but the lifts and reception issues need addressing by management.

Second time here Hotel a little dated but otherwise okay Bathroom leaked when shower is in use room 462, Slipped on floor. Reported to reception and Immediate reaction was a little unconcerning until I kicked off They changed my room unapologetic Lady who cleans the room nice enough but mops the floor leaving it very wet without drying , I was still in the room at the time No replenishment of coffee tea etc Had to go down to restaurant at Dinner time I was not full board so wasn’t allowed in couldn’t believe the grief I got for something that should have been provided previously breakfast was nice, good choices but a little cold although there was a microwave Didn’t use pool or other services on offer Staff at the indoor bar were very nice and friendly Location is Good. Lots of nice shops/ supermarkets/ bars restaurants local Beach 10 min walk In all still a pleasant place to stay but a little TLC needed

Amazing bed nice room with great view. Main problem for me is they teh lobby and restaurant areas are very warm and stuffy. I'm litualy sweating buckets while eating dinner it's not pleasant. Not sure if air con is broke or if this is normal. This would ut me off a return visit if honest

We stayed at the Level, which was superb, the staff are all excellent but top marks from us to Cyntia who was a Level ambassador and looked after all the clients.

We have been staying at the Melia Benidorm for weekend breaks for many years but I feel its time to move on and find somewhere else. It used to be a very good hotel and still is okay but there are definitely better for the price. The bedrooms are getting scruffy , bathrooms outdated, the non slip bit from the bath has washed away and taking a shower can be dangerous , very slippy! Maybe its just me but the mattresses seem to have got harder , its like lying on a brick and the pillows where rubbish, the patio door didnt close properly, the couch was dirty looking , I wouldnt sit on it ,a lot of the UK channels on the TV had gone from the last time we stayed, apart from that the room was clean. The hotel and pool area was as normal very nice and well cared for however the Hotel bar is becoming a joke . One barman , one beer which was flat, we waited at the bar for 10 minutes along with a few other people , no one there and eventually one barman who looked pissed off arrived , threw a beer at me , took my money without even an hello. He didnt want to be there. A hotel so large should have a good bar with a choice of beers, no wonder the bar is always so quiet, no entertainment , and dont blame covid , all the other hotels and bars where providing it , on coming back to the hotel after an evening out , we fancied a quick drink before bed , not with that barman, he barked the bar is closed!!! So off we went , luckily there is a bar next door only a few minutes away !!

Our stay at the Melia Benidorm
The reception areas were clean and relaxing and exotic, all staff were very friendly and accommodating. Rooms clean and large and modern, these days a plus that the bathroom has a bath tub however the bathrooms are looking a little shabby now with rust on the radiator, grout missing, but overall ok but could do with updating. The pool area and gardens are a real bonus, they are very clean and beautifully kept.

Very disappointing
The hotel reception area is very impressive as are the amenities downstairs. Unfortunately that’s where the praise ends. They are woefully understaffed. When we arrived there was a huge queue for check in and only two staff members on the desk out of 5 Covid secure workstations. Not a problem as we booked the Level with their priority check in, but actually a problem as they didn’t have the staff to assign for The Level and wouldn’t allow any priority. We were assigned a pretty cool room on the 22nd floor with amazing views. However, the rooms are very tired, especially the bathrooms. The balcony furniture consists of 2 plastic reclining chairs without cushions or covers and a plastic table. My advice is to book another hotel in Benidorm or if you’re a Melia fan, which I am, book one of their other hotels. Melia Alicante is very nice
