The owners were nice. The breakfast was good although it wasn’t traditional breakfast food. The property needs to be remodeled and cleaned up. Looked run down and not very appealing.

We enjoyed our stay. It was very clean, quiet, and fruendly. The food was delicious and nicely presented. We would stay again and would highly recommended staying.

Easy access to the Episcopal Retreat center where my Retreat was held. Amazing breakfasts. The owners are cheerful, friendly, and readily engage guests in conversations.

Definitely stay here!
The whole experience is charming. The hosts are incredibly accommodating and kind. Plus, they make a mean breakfast! Great location too. Seemed like we were about 20 minutes away from everything.

The owners meet us upon arriving and was very nice. They let us know not to travel to the city going the direction google was taking us due to no streetlights and very windy roads. The owners were always available and very friendly. Loved our room even though it was a house we felt like we were the only ones there. Great get a way, very relaxing.

I had a two night reservation and paid one night upfront as required. When I contacted the Inn to let them know I was not coming because the governor had issued a state of emergency and requested folks not travel I didn't hear from them. I day later I received an email that the additional night had been charged to my card. I still have not received anything in the way of a receipt for the second nights charge. Offered me a gift certificate for return stay. Not what I was expecting. When the Governor says not to travel I would expect a refund. Don't book with these folks. Not the way to do business and I am a small business owner myself

A wonderful long weekend in a beautiful setting. Comfortable room with great hosts and delicious breakfast. Close location to Boone/App State. Large bedroom in addition to spaces to gather inside and outside.

very good breakfast, too bad i had to leave too early to get it the first 2 days. Advanced notice got us some muffins and bananas and juice for the days we had to go too early.

Cozy quarters and unforgettable breakfast!
The Taylor House Inn was a perfect stage for a peaceful getaway. The setting is idyllic, and the hosts couldn't be more gracious. I stayed in the Flower Cottage, which is a quaint room behind the grand main house. The cottage was full of country charm. The bed could have been more comfortable. I loved the snacks and even complimentary little bottles of wine in the room. Breakfast was worth the trip! Served in the impressive dining room on beautiful china, the freshly prepared two-course meal definitely left an impression. I enjoyed walking around the area and spotting deer, chipmunks, and lots of birds. I hope to return for another visit here soon!

We stayed at Taylor House Inn when Winter Storm Izzy blocked all roads in Banner Elk. We couldn't get out and the owners were kind to provide us breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Lovely Bed and Breakfast!
This place was awesome! Loved the old house with all it's charm. The hostess was so pleasant and helpful! He gave us great tips for getting around and helped when we got lost! The room was large and roomy with a large bathroom. Breakfast was delicious! Absolutely recommend!!

The Taylor house was very nice and clean. Host was friendly and the breakfast was nice. There were 6 other rooms with guests and we never saw or heard them.
