About this property

Entire place

You'll have the entire apartment to yourself and will only share it with other guests in your party.

Walk to breweries, restaurants, bike path, the lake, Farmer's Market, groceries!

This first floor apartment is located in the exciting South End of Burlington, which is considered one of the best locations in the area. Local breweries, tons of restaurants, plenty of shopping and ready access to the interstate, you will be happily situated to plan an awesome get-away! Come create memories, relax and settle down in this fully-equipped living space and enjoy a reprieve from your everyday life.

You will find your hostess on the floor above you but she is very respectful of your space. Readily available by phone, text or by ringing her doorbell, she's happy to help in any way she can to make your visit as stress-free and wonderful as possible.

I now have heat on the back porch; therefore, there are 3 bedrooms year-round. Clearly stated: a king bedroom, a queen bedroom and a super comfy pull-out couch double bed on the back porch. The porch has its own separate thermostat. During winter months, to conserve heat on the porch, I recommend that guests enter and exit through the front door.

BEDROOMS: Beds (1 King, 1 Queen, I pull-out double bed) have pressed, cotton sheets, plenty of pillows, down comforters and extra device adaptors at your bedside. Battery- backed alarm clocks are provided as well in case you're a heavy sleeper and need more than an wireless phone to be awakened. Luggage racks, clothes baskets and extra linens are available for use in both closets. Smart TV's have access to Amazon, Netflix and HBO Max but travelers are encouraged to sign into their own apps as long as they remember to sign out of them upon departure.

KITCHEN: Cuisinart pots and pans, one large green pan, two industrial non-stick pans, one large iron pan, colanders, strainers, 12-cup coffee pot can be set to your liking, Cuisinart coffee grinder (regular fresh beans provided, ground decaf will be found in the frig), espresso machine with regular pods included, milk frother, French press, plenty of both glass and plastic covered containers, blender, Cuisinart small food processor, KitchenAid hand mixer, chip clips, meat thermometer, food scale, martini/champagne/wine glasses, drink shaker, kitchen linens, cleaning products, quite a few organic and non-organic spices, salt, ground pepper, olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Paper napkins and towels are provided in the kitchen but there are also cloth napkins in the corner cabinet of the dining room. Additional ones can be found in the cabinet beneath the built-in desk along with tablecloths that will fit the table without any leaves in it. If a guest wishes for a larger table, please let the hostess know ahead so that leaves can be put in and a larger tablecloth provided.

BUSINESS TRAVELERS: The queen room has a private workspace with an ethernet connection and business essentials: scotch tape, scissors, stapler, paper clips, white out, envelopes, pads, pens, and pencils. There's a wireless printer ready-to-go with paper in the dining room. An additional workspace is provided in the living room where you will find a built-in desk with hard-wired ethernet and the same business essentials.

FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN: : I provide: A portable crib, & a pack ‘n play w/bassinet & changing table; baby monitor; a highchair; booster seat; 2 child gates for kitchen area; 3-in-1 bathing tub; electrical outlet plugs; + child locks on kitchen/bathroom cabinets. Fenced in backyard. Toys, games and puzzles are in the basement along with a portable blackboard. If children under 3 are expected, I generally remove the chess pieces to keep them from tempting their inquisitive nature.

BATHROOM: Single granite-top sink has drawers for your personal items and more space in the mirrored cabinet above. Cast iron tub holds heat better than any acrylic or plastic tub and is perfect for a salt bath, which is why lavender salts are provided in the cabinet above the toilet. Additional supplies include TRESemme hair sprays (extra hold and ultra fine mist aerosols), Q-tips, cotton balls, makeup wash cloths, tweezers, first-aid kit, feminine products (just enough to hold you till you get to the store), Shea Moisture Daily Hydration shampoo + conditioner, Kirkland Citrus body wash, Lubriderm moisture lotion, and small individual bar soaps. Includes hair straightener, blow dryer and plenty of towels, of course. Darn-I-forgot items are in cabinet above the toilet: toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorants, etc.

To accommodate larger parties, I have added two vanities to each bedroom with blow dryers and a hand & magnification mirror.

LAUNDRY: Large folding table along with a iron and ironing board is at the bottom of the basement stairs. Games, playing cards, crayons, coloring books and puzzles are to be found in the red cabinet next to the ironing board. The washer and dryer are used from a local organization that helps provide housing to the less fortunate. Eventually, new ones will replace these but they work well for now. Laundry soap (including one for babies), prewash spray and laundry booster are provided next to a utility sink. Clothes baskets and a small folding rack is in the adjacent room. A portable heater has been provided to take the chill off if needed but it is very important to remember to shut it off once laundering is done. And to be mindful if children are around it.

BREAKFAST: Bread, eggs, butter, coffee, espresso pods, milk of your choice (you must specify ahead), juice, sugar cubes, organic cane sugar and several artificial sweeteners, my own homemade organic strawberry jam and more.

CLEANING: As a former owner of a cleaning company, the hostess stays on top of doing her best to provide as clean a space as possible. Special attention is paid to sanitize high-touch areas including kitchen and bath cupboards, light switches, remote controls, the traveler's guidebook and doorknobs. As of the end of November 2022, I have had to increase fees as cleaners have become more expensive. My cost exceeds what I am charging guests. I appreciate your understanding.

Burlington Victorian was charming, incredible host, perfect location.
We couldn’t be happier with our stay at the Burlington, Victorian. We had a group of eight people, including teens and preteens. Kathleen was incredibly attentive and sweetened our stay with homemade strawberry jam and lots of wonderful, gastronomic amenities. She was very thoughtful, and we really appreciate it how everything in the house is labeled for ears, and convenience. Kathleen even took the trouble to put our bikes in the garage at night for us when we were out late at a wedding. Highly recommend!

Easy access to bike trail, great accommodations
Easy access to Burlington Greenway/Island Line Trail. Some restaurants within walking distance. Burlington waterfront a short bike ride along bike trail or a simple drive with lots of reasonably priced parking. First floor with 3 seperate sleeping rooms. Well stocked kitchen with coffee grinder and whole coffee beans, bread, eggs and home made jelly. Spices, Tabasco, and olve oil on spice rack. Very helpful and communicative host who made sure everything was set up as needed. Due to sleeping arrangements of guest, host supplied a cot. Dining room mural of Paris was a nice touch. Everything was clearly labelled and easy to find.

Best Time
My kids and I loved our stay. We were welcomed with so many wonderful things. This was our first time doing a VRBO or ArBnB- I really don’t think we could ever find another place that compares. This was a 10/10. Lisa

We had such a great weekend!
Thank you so much Kathleen for the wonderful stay! Communication with you was so smooth, and the apartment itself was just perfect. We were 7 adults in town for the Burlington Beer Fest! It was our first time not staying directly downtown, and we were surprisingly pleased! There are a couple breweries super close by, as well as the beach which was a great way to spend our afternoon. We also visited the Farmer’s Market on Saturday. The bus was free to get into town, and there were Ubers for the return back for those in our party who didn’t want to walk. Finally, Kathleen had so many special surprises for us we were so charmed ! Thanks again and we’ll definitely be back!

Lovely property for girls' getaway!
Four of us enjoyed a bachelorette weekend in Burlington with the Burlington Victorian as our home base. The house was lovely, very well-equipped, and very comfortable. Kathleen was fantastic to work with from start to finish, and we loved the special little touches she put together for us! Great location, too.
