The service was not so good.My experience: we didn’t have hot water and I called couple times, I told them at front desk couple times and finally they fixed. The room doesn’t have balcony and windows couldn’t open. Food was same for breakfast, for lunch and for dinner and every day.

This hotel was amazing customer service is awesome I went with my husband and 3 kids and we enjoyed everything from the food to the pool and a mall right in front of the hotel very convenient. The rooms were clean and so spacious with great view of the beach. All the employees really make you feel like home. I give this hotel 5 stars Restaurant are hard to get in since you need a reservation but they have a buffet that’s open most of the day including late night snack.

The website made this place seem a lot better than it actually was. Previous reviews said the place was “old and outdated” and I can confirm. The elevators are not equipped for the capacity of the resort, they were too small and too slow. We waited for the elevator for almost 5 minutes at some times. Upon checking in our room, we noticed our bedsheets were dirty. We paid for the all inclusive package and had trouble making reservations at the restaurants. The app we were instructed to use for reservations and activities went down frequently. Based on my experience from this resort, I would not recommend it to anyone. We also heard other guests complaining about the lack of service from the resort during our stay.

Rooms looks too old and all doors and restrooms are in terrible condition. Food have limited option and looks like same food have been rotated in different time to other station .. I have just did breakfast which was ok . They need to change utensils where the food is served as they look old and dirty.. overall it need rooms and food station updated Pool area food and snacks was good Can’t go back there again !!!

Nice place. Everything was clean. The buffet didn’t have much to offer and got boring after day 2. Staff was friendly but we traveled with a toddler and getting milk from them was a back and forth situation. The lobby people couldn’t even assist with that. However the people from the buffet were able to provide some but it seemed like they would get in trouble for doing so. Overall, the place is very good. We needed transportation one day and the bell boys were able to assist right away. I would say the only thing we felt could be better is the food. Oh and we had no luck trying to make a dinner reservation at one of their restaurants.

We have been coming here for 18 years & this was the first trip with our children. We love the location & staff at this hotel & couldnt wait to share it with them. 2 of our 3 rooms had water coming from the ceilings & the A/C did not work well. There was no hot water in all 3 rooms most days but that was bareable. The hotel could use some upgrades or better maintenance. Its still our favorite location in the hotel zone.

We had an amazing vacation at Park Royal. This was our second visit but first with our young girls From the moment we walked in the doors we were treated so well by all of the staff. The buildings were safe and clean. There was so much to do for both adults and children. We definitely never went hungry or thirsty at all. All of the guests were happy and friendly. The rooms were perfect. If you are travelling with a young family I highly recommend the presidential / family suite with terrace. We received a complementary upgrade to it and I was blown away. We had a living room, bedroom, two bathrooms and our own private splash pool, which was perfect for when we all needed some down time but didn’t want to sacrifice our vacation for it. I don’t think I can say enough about the staff. They were all incredibly helpful! If you want something or have questions just ask! Our concierge Luisa was amazing. We had so many great servers through out the week including but not limited to Saray in the Italian restaurant and Hector, Maria and Wilbert at the buffet. I wish I had gotten some names but the funtastic team who ran the activities was also amazing. This resort is right across the street from La Isla mall which is a great place to wander around, shop and/or enjoy many activities. The bus is easy & cheap to use and stops right out front if you want to explore more. Whether going as a family or couple I highly recommend this resort!

Staff were always very friendly and welcoming! Staff worked hard keeping everything clean with Prompt Service. Plenty of food choices and options the whole family enjoyed with different themes throughout the week. Our room was cleaned, restocked and tidy each day!! We really enjoyed our stay and had a great time!! We would have loved to see a coffee/bistro option outside of the buffet for early morning. Also would loved to have a daily activity/special food event posted in a central location. We found that we had to search for special food events and activities throughout the day.

The beach area is the best in the entire hotel zone, by far. We stay in Cancun often. There are limited beach chairs, but if you are an early riser, when you are done for the day, swap out your used towels for new ones the next day and go early to the beach to save your spot. Please remember that you get what you pay for. If you are looking for an economical option to stay in paradise, this is not a bad choice. Don’t tear the place apart because the buffet doesn’t have bacon or sliced salmon for the breakfast buffet. If you want top shelf amenities, pay more. This is an ideal spot for a vacation on a budget. The staff are all AMAZING and professional!

I travelled with my boyfriend and another couple and we are in our early 20s for reference. We did not enjoy this hotel experience, although the location and beach is very nice. To start we booked 2 rooms with king beds and when we got there we received 2 double beds in both rooms. When we spoke to front desk they said there was nothing they could do and we are not guaranteed what we booked. They kept telling us to come back the next day and they would solve the issue and they never did. Other issues - very bad at accommodating a gluten allergy, I could barely eat anything. There was almost NO night life here (no shows, activities, music playing, bars open late, etc), usually only things such as karaoke which ended early. Many of the mangers and staff were not friendly or accommodating. Food - the buffet area is only half open and there are barely any options for food. Their restaurants were not great either and it is EXTREMELY hard to book reservations on their app. At the end, our flight was delayed many hours and they would not let us stay in the lobby and said we had to leave. We came without high expectations and wanted to enjoy our holiday but this hotel was not a good experience, we do not recommend it for younger groups.

Great experience! We traveled with a group of 7 and loved every minute of it. As soon as we arrived we were greeted by amazing staff(Argelia). She immediately gave us all the information we needed to book all the dinner reservations by downloading the app, which I did extremely promptly due our group size and wanting to eat at all the restaurants. The app was very helpful to see all the included activities. The food was great. There are 3 bookable restaurants, buffet and a snack shack. We loved all the food and they always had something for the kids to eat. We spent a majority of the time at the kid waterpark area (4,5 year olds). Water shoes are a must, after reading reviews prior to arriving I knew it wouldn't hurt to bring a pair for each of the kids and boy was it spot on. The floor of the waterpark is rough to prevent slipping but it can also hurt those delicate feet. They had tons of activities for the kids, including a foam party and tons of kids crafts. The beach and water were our second favorite to the kiddie pool. The water was amazing, view spectacular and did I mention they served drinks down there!!! Now the bars, they served and tried to make any drink we could come up with. We favored the center pool bar due to Mario and Enrique they were amazing! We don't typically do returning vacations but this is on our list to go back again if we travel to Cancun again.

First off, this is a real review by a real person. My wife and I took our 2 kids ( 4 yr, 7yr) for their first all-inclusive Mexico trip. We booked the Royal Park Beach resort mostly based on the fact that it looked pretty kid friendly. There is a kids pool area with a few water slides and a Kids Club, so we thought that was a good start. The kids pool area, with the slides, is okay. It's not big, but it's not too small. The issue we had is that the pool floor is extremely rough and both our kids scraped and cut their feet and knees. Where the bigger slide spits the kids out was the worst for this. The Kids Club is for 5-12 year olds, and it's the most depressing thing I've seen in a long time. Dark and dingy and the activities are simply sitting at a table doing "crafts". There is no night time entertainment, like all of the other Mexican resorts we've gone to offer. So, it's challenging to fill the evening hours with the kids. The food was not bad, but it was not spectacular at all. The staff was very biased to the Spanish speaking guests. Sometimes I had to flag down a bartender or server, even though they could clearly see that I was waiting for service. And, I was one of the only people tipping the staff, so it was strange to me that they'd just ignore us. If you are used to staying at real 4 or 5 star properties, this will leave you disappointed, but for our kids first trip it was okay. They enjoyed most of the experience, except the kids pool.

Know what you want before you book this resort. If you want an affordable trip for a family with a beautiful beach, then this resort is for you. My family and I loved every day there. It is an older building and the food options are not the best, but if you don’t travel much, you will not notice this. The concierge, Luisa, was the best ensuring all our needs are met. I would give this a 10/10

The hotel is very well kept and the staff is friendly and accommodating. They need more beach chairs. Also the reservation process for the ala carte restaurants needs to be changed. Can only book each restaurant for one day. Must wait in line for each additional booking. Always waited for approx. 45 minutes in line.

I really liked this resort. I visited here Jan 9-15 2024. I was alone with my 2 kids. The kids pool is great, the ocean is too rough for kids to swim in but we played at the shore. The Mayan ruins on site are fun to walk to, and they were covered in iguanas which was fun to see. The food was amazing at the buffet. I would go back

This was a convenient location to stay at as it was right across the street from la isla mall. A lot of shopping and dining options. Close to downtown. But not close enough to just walk over. Rooms weren’t great. I found a lot of mould on the curtains and had changed rooms but both were full of a musty mildewy smell. Food at the buffet was bland and not very many options. Beach was nice as all the beaches in cancun are. Not enough chairs. Adults only pool had no bar. Bar in the pool where all the kids were. Probably would never stay at this resort again

Food did not match website description. Seafood restaurant was not good at all. Mexican restaurant was not good at all. Italian was the best out of 3. These restaurants require reservations. You are required to get up early and go in person to make reservations for that day only. Buffet restaurant was constantly packed and not easy to navigate. Lots of lines. Outside restaurant was a confusing setup and hard to communicate with staff. Bars did not offer fresh fruit for the tropical cocktails. Blended drinks had huge ice chips in them. Room key card consistently did not work which required them to be reactivated. Very frustrating. My family used the stairs because the elevator wait was long at times. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Location was close to the mall and felt safe.

This was our second time staying at this hotel. Staff are always very welcoming. It’s a comfortable stay. The kiddie pool is a great option when taking „a break“ from the beach. I like how the snack bar is open for the kids when they need snacks. Something new for us this time, was the extended hours of the buffet that offered late night tacos. I thought that was an awesome change from our last stay. If you go to Xcaret and stay for the whole day and come back late at night, there’s still an option for you to get some tacos! This hotel is conveniently located across from a shopping center that also has some food options. A Dominos and McDonald’s are located not too far from the hotel as well. We’ll be visiting again, I’m sure!

Costumer service was the worse I have ever had ! We had a presidential suit which the ceiling was dripping water my and I couldn’t even call front desk because the phone didn’t work … ones I walked to the front desk and address it they did nothing to help all they said was will try to find you another room but it never happened because they said it was busy season so I ended up 6 said in a room that the ceiling was dripping water and it got worse every time it rain there …..it feel like they were more worry about selling time shares then helping their customers that were all ready there.. food was not ok not impressed at all .
