A lovely friendly place to stay. Comfortable room , recommend it for ease of access to local pubs and walks. Delightful couple who are the landlords are so welcoming. Cannot wait to visit again.

Disappointing
Booked a stay here on the basis of the reviews. The photos on hotels.com did not reflect the room as we found it rather more cluttered with furniture, and things on the surfaces. The hosts Michelle and Paul were both very friendly and welcoming. The location in the Cheshire countryside and near to Dunham Massey and other attractions is good. We were however disappointed with a number of aspects of our stay. The property is some 200 years old and some maintenance is required in the bedroom/bathroom areas. There is no double glazing so the windows get very steamed up and that causes black staining on the paintwork which needs cleaning off. The shower tiling also shows evidence of black staining on the grout etc., which should be easily cleaned off. The bathroom itself is quite modern. There was no daily housekeeping as stated on the booking. We had to ask for towels and were given 4 on arrival and these were not replenished once used. Apparently the 4 (of assorted sizes) were our allocation. The bathrobes and slippers were apparently not new and we did not feel we wanted to use them. The continental breakfast supplies in the fridge were not replenished for day 2. The separate lounge/dining area with the room is nice to sit and have a relax. The WiFi was satisfactory. The bottled water was a nice touch. You have your own front door key to come and go as you please. The Swan with Two Nicks is 5 minutes walk down the road if you want somewhere to eat.

Historic quaint cottage
Cosy cottage, clean bedroom and en-suite, but couldn’t open the windows, which were quaint, but stuck. Owners were friendly and helpful. Big disappointment though was NO cooked breakfast, perhaps we presumed wrongly.

Lovely B&B, great size room/bathroom and had our own lounge with kitchen facilities which was a fab added bonus. Parking a bit tight but no problem really.
