Very Poor Property
On arrival and on opening the front door, there is an overwhelming fusty smell of damp this emanates from the flat roof in the kitchen and Bathroom damp signs are visible on the ceiling and around the bath sealant. The back door does not open thereby closing off a secondary escape route, there was a note left saying that the door would be repaired that week however it was undated and there are no obvious signs of this work being done. The double bed is very small is it a ¾ bed? There are no wardrobes but there are hanging rails, no drawer units to keep your clothes in. The cleaning equipment is stored in the spare bedroom on the floor. There are very few kitchen units, where the glasses are kept was covered in cobwebs. There was 1 Wine glass, 1 pint tumbler, 1 440ml tumbler and a couple of small glasses. There is no Microwave. There is no WIFI. There is no guest comment book so there is no indication of where the Supermarkets are in the area, or whether there are any decent restaurants or Bars (none as far as I could see), where there might be walks or places of interest nearby. There were brochures for 2017 and pre pandemic. On the plus side the garden is large. There are also about 8 dogs in the other properties in the street and a couple in the street behind, so if barking dogs day and night is your thing then this is the place for you. This is a very poor location with not a lot in the area it's in the middle of a small country town with a general store and a couple of local pubs. A very poor property highly overpriced. Caveat Emptor!
