It was very enjoyable lovely olde world hotel only issue my husband struggled with stairs as no lift. other than that very nice hotel and staff very good

Property was older but very clean. Charming antique furnishings in common areas. Very nice staff. Room was spacious but might could use a little update.Bathroom seemed to be recently remodeled. Lovely garden. Very nice breakfast. A room on the third floor was a bit of a climb for seniors.

The place is like faulty Towers the toilet in our bathroom was installed so close to the wall that you needed to sit side on the place id full of clutter with furniture everywhere

We are sorry you felt the toilet was too close to the wall, but the room and bathroom you stayed in was not very old, it is spacious and in keeping with the character of the property The hotel is full of antiques and period furniture as it’s a manor house, its constantly being updated and refurbished to within the style of the house. Maybe the character of the property was not to your tastes. We are glad you enjoyed the rest of the hotel facilities.

My wife and I had a wonderful time at Seaview! Everyone was so friendly, the accomodations were great and the food was awesome. We also had a couple of spa treatments that were the perfect ending to our stay. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to get away in a beautiful area of Ireland.

very friendly welcome to a quiet and relaxing hotel. however some areas need upgrading....bathroom door from bedroom not in keeping with the style of the room and needs replacing. Decor in bedroom looks jaded and in need of refreshing. The staff however were excellent and the breakfast was top class. Many thanks.

Cute place; lots of charm! Some furniture has seen better days, but overall, great place to stay. I wish they would have filled up breakfast though as items got depleted....get there early if you want the full selection from the buffet.

Beautiful house with gorgeous grounds. The staff are very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Next time I come back to Ireland I will definitely stay here for more than one night!

Love this place; have, and will always, recommend.
We were a party of 5 with relatives from Bantry who had suggested The Seaview to us in the very early 1970's. We had dined there numerous times over the years but had not stayed there until this year, and it was even more than we had expected. The owner and staff could not have been more welcoming - efficient, courteous and extremely helpful. Some of the best meals of our six county tour were taken there, and some of our most memorable evenings were had in the drawing rooms of this charming inn. Can't wait to go back, hopefully in the not-too-distant future.

Disappointing
First of all, there is no sea view. The pictures in the advertising are obviously old. The beds were hard. Though there were some wonderful antiques, furnishings were out dated. The person that checked us in was not friendly. Other staff was pleasant. The breakfast area was wonderful and breakfast was good. We did not have dinner there as prices were quite high.

Wonderful Manor Hotel
Excellent and friendly staff. The hotel is beautiful. Our meals, dinner and breakfast were absolutely wonderful. Will definitely be staying here again.

The rate I paid was very high for single room occupancy, but the room was very large....and tastefully furnished. The bed could have slept three! The limited range of TV channels was disappointing. It's unfortunate that the proprietress has retired since my last stay. She was exceptionally hospitable and committed.

Needs to move a bit into modern world.
Hotel is quite expensive and, in an area with limited internet access, no wi-fi. On one occasion, the shower pressure was very low (due to next room also using their shower, perhaps?) and bath water was not very hot. Choice of options at breakfast couldn't be faulted and all that we tried were prepared excellently.

Seaview House Hotel Review
Our visit to Ireland was made even better by our stay at the Seaview House Hotel. It's not your average hotel, but that was okay for us. It is surrounded by beautiful, scenic gardens. Bantry and Glengarriff are close by (5 miles) with little shops,restaurants, and boat rides available. The people at Seaview House Hotel were very accommodating and very kind. Nice relaxing atmosphere.

An interesting find.
Picked on rating and the commnents. A timewarp back into the country hotels of the past. The hotel is full of antiques and initially it felt unconfortable. Food good at dinner and breakfast. Early in the season and this showed in the waitress service at times.

A piece of heaven overlooking scenic Bantry
This beautiful hotel was indeed a great find ,and we enjoyed every moment that we spent there. Our lovely room overlooked the gardens and the bay beyond. From the time we arrived until our departure we were treated to a delightful stay. The morning breakfast was served in the dining room which included the full Irish breakfast , fresh cereals, yogurt , fresh squeezed orange juice all variety of bread including freshly baked croissants . We had dinner here each evening . The dinner menu was superb with plenty of fresh sea food,and a variety of meats,and a great wine list. The staff were just outstanding in every way,and they would go out of their way to make everyone comfortable,and welcome.This is a hotel that we will return to again and again. It's location so close to one of the most scenic areas of Ireland,and makes this location tops on our list.
