Originally, very excited to stay in this property. It's a 12th Century Castle afterall! However, this was one of the worst housekeeping experiences I have encountered at any scale hotel, let alone a property like this.
The property itself is beautiful. The facility amenities lack (basically a small gym and a few restaurants), but that could be overlooked with quality of service. Well, my 9 day stay was basically spent fighting with housekeeping. Over and over I had to call the front desk to address. And after each time addressing, housekeeping would then NOT do what was being asked. And we aren't talking about unusual asks here. We are talking about cleaning the room! You know, replacing dirty sheets. Leaving clean towels. Wiping down the desks/showers. Taking out the trash. The basics.
Instead, they continued to disregard this. Instead, they would leave trash on the floor, leave dirty towels on the floor (in the bedroom somehow by the way). And not once, but twice, when asked to replace the dirty sheets just flipped them over or switched them to the place the noticeably dirty side to the foot of the bed (the second time). And after it being addressed the first time (and trust me housekeeping issues were a VERY known issue at this point as staff were offering comp services as an apology), not only did housekeeping not replace the dirty sheets but they left our dirty pillow cases on our floor. When you are being watched and STILL do this, that is blatant disrespect.
