The bathtub was so slick that I fell getting into the shower. Needs to have safety treads in it. Bathroom floor was also extremely slick! I reported this to the front desk but I assume all rooms are about the same so they didn't seem overly concerned. No ice on the 3rd floor. Machine was "OFF". Cookies and lemonade out on Thursday night but never replenished after that.

I was unhappy of how clean the bathroom was. Our toilet seat was dirty with stains from human waste. I had to clean myself with Disinfectant spray and wipes. Front desk was notified.

The Landmark Inn is a comfortable hotel with good sized rooms. Well priced and located right on base. Would definitely recommend you stay here when visiting Fort Irwin.

We did not actually end up staying here. Unfortunately, when booking this location on, it is not noted that this property is on a military base. We were on a trip for a youth group and chose this place due to its proximity to a hot springs we were visiting. Upon arriving we were told we are not allowed to enter because we were not affiliated with the base. This ruined our trip completely. We did receive a refund eventually, HOWEVER, I believe this hotel should not be listed on if not everyone is "eligible" to stay there OR it should be stated specifically that this location is only available to military personnel so that nobody else makes this mistake.

Hi Elisa, under the "important information" section on expedia's website, It is specifically stated, that our hotel is located on a military base. We do allow for all guest's (civilian and military) to stay at our hotel when they book. I apologize that you were turned away by the military, additional clearance is required when entering a military base.

Disappointed stay.
The condition of the room was poor. Didn't appear to be very clean. I changed rooms but because I was tired I just settled on the second room. It had an odor and just was not a pleasant feel when walking into the room. If there were other hotels in the area I would have definitely stay elsewhere.

Old! Cobblestone entrance…can’t move cart or luggage. Some beds are comfortable, some not. Very outdated, but only place to stay. It’s very clean, okay breakfast

Don't make a reservation here through Expedia unless you are US military personnel. We made a reservation through Expedia, drove 70 miles out of our way. A sentry stopped us and refused us entrance apologetically. The hotel is on a military base and only military personnel are allowed in. SERIOUSLY! Unbelievable.

Before you book, army site
I was turned away at the guard. You need a sponsor on the premises to get thru. I was 3 miles away and requester to turn around. It was an hour on the road from freeway and 20 mph winds in barstow. Scary and then got angry with guards. I was tired!!

It is comfortable and overall very quiet. The air conditioning system can be loud. The breakfast was adequate and the staff was VERY friendly and accommodating. Fortunately I am not one of those people who need my room cleaned everyday. In fact I prefer not. Towels were replaced and coffee was provided as requested. I understand all business's are short staffed and it does save a lot of money to not have to hire cleaners for every room every day. I like Fort Irwin. My son-in-law is stationed there. I find the area friendly and very safe. Nice amenities for the children. Thank you
