I really enjoyed our stay here. My one comment is that the bathroom in the rooms seems really dated. Its a small thing and completely livable with. Everytging else was fantastic.

The Galmont was in a fantastic location for easy access to downtown and the motorway. It was clean, updated, and all staff were very friendly. The breakfast buffet was delicious and full of a variety of options. Highly recommend!

Enjoyable stay however the constant email for add ons wasn’t necessary or again at check in. 12 O’clock check out on Sunday was welcome. Room very comfortable. View was ok over the water but prudent pay the extra for it if we returned.

We arrived early & front desk kindly checked our bags so we could do a bit of city exploring while they got our room ready. Our room was very nice & clean. Beds were comfortable & rooms were quiet. We had a very nice view of the bay. Hotel location was great… very near Christmas market & loads of other shopping/restaurants.

3 star hotel at 4 star prices
2 night stay. Sea view king on 2nd floor. Lobby bar and breakfast are good. The bed was good. We had an old room that hadn’t been serviced in some time. Short on towels, soap, shampoo, coffee. They also didn’t clean the room when we were out. The thermostat broke in middle of night. The elevator also broke. They lost the key to the breakfast room Saturday morning and couldn’t unlock the door so they had to admit everyone through a back kitchen door. Who is managing this place?

Everything was brilliant, only the tv in our room wasn’t working and we went to tell reception who said someone will be sent up in 5 minutes to have a look, and either change tv or give us a different room but nobody came up

For whatever reason, they couldn't get hot water for our room which is quite ridiculous for a 4 star hotel. Hotel engineering made a change and it was lukewarm at best. Despite this, they told the front desk that it was better than before and that it was fixed. This was their response after their 3rd attempt on our 2nd day. We call again in the morning and front desk says engineering said they fixed it so we seem like the annoying customer. The next day (last day there) we had to ask to go to another room to get access to hot water for cleaning baby bottles and showering. The other room's water temperature was phenomenal and a night and day difference from the room we were staying in. I offered to take the front desk/manager to the rooms and show the water temperature difference but they didnt care to. No compensation offered either for any of the hassle, even with a baby. I was recommended this hotel and several friends of mine are waiting to book once we're back. Definitely not worth the trouble to book this hotel.

Wonderful experience in this hotel as part as a last minute getaway for domestic tourists. I stayed here with my girlfriend after we travelled from Cork. Unfortunately as we didn't stay long enough we didn't have time to use the spa treatments on offer but overall cleanliness and staff service was fantastic. I would love to stay here again and I would recommend it.

Have never reviewed before but this was a disappointment for the $$$ & expectations considering the cost. Great spot in town but parking appalling as it appears car park is used by all & sundry in town - so good luck getting a park. Our room was very basic & small even though had paid for King premium - bathroom with rough old towels that smelt of vinegar & some black mould on ceiling above shower. Noisy from outside & next door. Unable to move through foyer or use lounge/bar area both nights & days there due to big Graduation events on.
