We were regular guests at the hotel pre pandemic, but the major remodel in 2021 has made this property into a luxury resort. Front of house staff are friendly; attentive and adhere to support all requests made. Our room was kept spotlessly clean on a daily basis and the dinning hall was filled with a polite and courteous team of which nothing was too much trouble. The improved animation team provided fun and entertaining evening shows; quizzes and daily activities in and around the pool. There is a taxi rank immediately outside the hotel should you require transport and I believe a small shop will be available onsite once the remodel is complete. A stunning hotel; beautiful views at a reasonable price.

Fantastic
My family and I had a fantastic experience in this hotel. When we arrived, we got a bottle of red wine instead of the Champaign that they give as a welcome drink to all guest that is finished. The staffs are friendly, cheerful and service minded. We throughly enjoyed our stay. One thing I think they could improve is their entertainment and the hotel is old . but they said that the hotel will be renovated with in 3 years. So I hope to be back after it is renovated

A very welcoming hotel, everything to ensure you have a great holiday. Fabulous views, spacious pool and bar areas, large dining room. Big choice of food and drink and all very plentiful. Helpful and attentive staff in the dining room, reception, the bars and entertainment team. Maids, maintenance and kitchen staff all friendly, they all said ‘hola’ and nothing at all was a problem.

Fantastic hotel
We only stayed 3 days all inclusive but wish we'd stayed longer, food was good, place was clean and friendly staff, must be one of best places to stay in Gran Canaria. I think this hotel must be at least a 4 star hotel.

First time in Gran Canaria and it was a great experience because of this hotel. We were upgraded to a suite and the views from most rooms are stunning. 2 restaurants included so you can avoid noisy kids! We would return!

I thought the resort was great value for money. Food was excellent and definitely above 3*. Stayed in the junior suite which was good with nice patio area. Pool area great, plenty of sun loungers. Kids and day time entertainment very good. Only negative, was I thought the night time entertainment could have been better. Overall had a fab 2 relaxing week's holiday!

Puerto Azul junior suite
2nd time at the hotel in a junior suite which is worth the upgrade, air con , kitchen and extra space , the rooms are getting a little tired and the maintenance of the rooms could be a lot better, grout missing , floors badly patched up, however the service is fine and the food we find really good , adults only area is busy but can cope,weather was fantastic all week , local area bars and restaurants all good , definitely consider the hotel again if maintenance improved

Nice all inclusive hotel with great views
As a budget all inclusive this hotel is fine, just don’t expect the Ritz or 5 star if you are booking. The rooms do need some improvement but the location and overall service was very good. Can not fault it for the price.

Lovely stay!
All in all it was a lovely stay! The all inclusive food and drinks were great, the staff were friendly and helpful and the weather was fab! There are plenty of sunbeds so we could always get one regardless of the time of day. The adults only area was a great perk! The room was very dated but we were only in our room to sleep and the bed was comfy. The balconys are huge with amazing sea views! A great cheap and cheerful break!

A good value hotel
The hotel has been upgraded and since it last stay around 5 yrs ago I was very impressed . The staff so helpful and friendly with everyone The beds and pillows amazing think all hotels should follow the example Memory form mattresses and large comfy pillows was excellent . The views are outstanding across Puerto Rico beach and out to sea The animation staff work so so hard And the young woman in the upstairs bar is so very pleasant Reception staff fabulous my husband and I became ill they were so kind and helpful giving advice calling taxi’s And ambulance and translating for us thankfully we got medication and returned to the hotel with flowers and wine put in our apartment Thankyou for this The only thing is the food was not always warm but other than that I can’t fault this hotel Great value and facilities Thankyou Puerto Azul

Perfect for what we wanted. Rooms and hotel a bit tired and could do with decorating. Food in restaurant was fine but very repetitive, 7 days was enough. Overall a good place to be but have a room overlooking the town for best views and peace and quiet at night

The only thing that we didnt like about this hotel was having to use about 3 different lifts to get down to our hotel room. You got used to the complicated system after a couple of days, but its a bit of a pain! The rest of the hotel was nice, pool area was clean, our room was better than expected considering we only paid for a standard room which hadn't been upgraded. The location of the hotel is perfect, we had a hire car but we could walk down to puerto rico or amadores beach easily. The all inclusive food and drink was really good. we met a lot of people who stayed for two weeks at a time and come back every year for their family holiday. The views from the adult only pool area are to die for!

Nice hotel. Food and drink always available.
Staff very helpful. Bit of a trek go the beach but only a 4 euro taxi ride. Sunbeds always a battle to get close to the pool due to people reserving them and not using them til the aftetnoon. Otherwise thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Most horrible hotel I have ever stayed in. Some staff seemed like they were annoyed they had to communicate with Americans. Very outdated hotel. Bed is uncomfortable. Front desk girl booked my excursion on wrong day and wasted my time. Tennis court had no lights. It required 2 different elevators to get to my room. I had to travel to front desk daily because room card would self-deactivate. They charge you to use safe. Just a great disappointment.

LOVELY CLEAN BEDROOM WHICH WAS MADE UP EVERY DAY.
THE HOTEL IS SITUATED QUITE HIGH ABOVE PUERTO RICO AND NEAR TO THE EUROPA CENTRE. THE VIEWS FROM OAR BALCONY WUR FANTASTIC. THE BEDROOM WASN'T THAT BIG BUT WAS CLEANED EVERY DAY. THA FOOD WAS A BIT HIT AND MISS. TAXI'S FROM THE HOTEL TO PUERTO RICO/MOGAN PLENTIFUL AND CHEAP ALL IN ALL ITS A LOVELY PLACE FOR A HOLIDAY.

The hotel is nice with great food! The location is ok - the nearest beach is about a 15 minute walk down some steps. The hotel itself can be quite confusing due to its sheer size - we had to get 3 lifts to our room and we were some of the closer rooms.

Hotel was better then I was expecting. First holiday that I'd booked myself so not sure how it would all work out. Was better than I could have imagined. Friendly staff. Good food. Rooms are standard with all the facalities you need. But for me, you don't go away to spend time in the room. Fantastic views and brilliant pool. Adult only jacuzzi was a bonus as I didn't know about that until I got there. Very clean. My only compliant is the tiny little cups they use. But thats nothing in the grand scheme of things. Everything was brilliant.

Excellent views
This is my third time staying at this hotel. The updated junior suite is fab and the air con fantastic. Lots for kids to do and drinks and food great

Nice hotel, needs some work
It's a bit run down but the rooms are clean if a bit dated. No air con in most rooms & not enough fans to go round which is bad when it's so hot. The food is fine, typical European All Inclusive, you'll always find something to eat. The staff are very very helpful & always try their best. Good place for a week break but deffo needs some improvements

Tranquil adult only area
Truly relaxing, staff friendly helpful and efficient. Excellent choice of food and drinks, sea view apartment had fantastic views. Excellent location for nearby bays though the walk back tests your fitness, taxi only 3 euros if you don't want to walk! The adult area with sunloungers and jacuzzi pool is pure bliss. I will definitely go back to this hotel, excellent value for money

Friendly staff, outdated decor but great location
The hotel is located in Puerto Rico which is close to some of the best beaches in Gran Canaria (Anfi, Amadores) and other family attractions like Palmitos Park and Angry Birds Park. The rooms are very small and very dated and definitely not sparkling clean, but the staff are brilliant and the all inclusive buffet isn't bad -there's local specialties as well as international dishes, and the breakfast is fantastic with full English, pancakes, fruit, veg, fresh bread and a selection of cheeses and meats and a variety of hot drinks. The more modernised gaming room/kids cinema and arcade were a big hit with the kids. We booked this particular hotel because they are supposed to have heated pools but this 'function' was broken during our entire stay so we stayed well clear of the pools. Nonetheless, this is a good budget alternative, especially if you're not planning on staying in your room much anyway...oh and you had better be prepared to be surrounded by Scandinavians!!!

Very nice hotel... All inclusiv
great vacation for 2 adults and 1 kid (5 years old)..all inclusive food Ok,not great but we found every day something to eat..Very nice beach..65 euro taxi from airport to the hotel..but you can book taxi before with hotel for just 50 euro..Nice Waterpark (30 min with bus-3 euro per person)..and `lots of other attractions nearby

Not a bad stay,but and there is always a but,not enough tables in the bar area at night had to sit on the steps at least 4 times also the beer taps are too gassy!why not some local bottled beer?the staff could be a bit more informative ,food ok,why don't the hotel enforce the no reserving sunbeds rule,why should you have to get up at 7 o'clock to get a bed on holiday
