We were in town for a volleyball tournament and the state track meet. We were looking for a place that was large enough to hold my entire family (6 of us) as well as my parents. This location had more than enough space for everyone, room for the kids to play and move around, a great pool, was clean, and very quiet. We will definitely stay here again!

Overall, we had a great stay. I only gave it an overall rating of 4 because the apartment looked like a great option for adults looking to have a good time with a game room but our fun was cut short due to quiet hours starting at 10:00PM. People live in the apartments around the penthouse and it is important to respect that this is there home. The walls are thin and we had complaints even when we were trying to be quiet.
Still a great option with tons of beds and space for a large group.

It was a great atmosphere getting to stay in a castle! Lots of room to spread out. We had our son’s groomsmen stay as well to get ready fòr the wedding. The grandkids loved all the toys and space to play. Only negatives were no AC vents in two of the rooms on second level so it was very warm at night if the doors were shut. Also no pack and plays for the babies to sleep in so plan accordingly. Otherwise great experience and would definitely stay again!

This is beautiful penthouse condo with great views and amenities. The castle themed exterior is a cool novelty as well! I'd stay here again and would recommend it to others. Note that there are 4 bedrooms with doors, and the property does sleep many people; however, in the description it lists sleeping accommodations of 7 bedrooms. I believe they are considering living rooms with pull-outs to be bedrooms.

Our son got married in Grand Rapids and we’re from out of town. His groomsmen traveled in from all over the country. The Castle provided us with an amazing landing spot for the in-betweens. The 3rd floor was wonderful for “the guys” and their dates, and allowed mom and dad to have quiet rest. All the beds were comfortable and there were plenty of blankets for a cold January wedding. We played up the “castle” theme with crowns and a family banner. The owner was so responsive. Every question was answered in minutes and they went above and beyond. Be aware that the entry process is a little complicated. The castle is huge and it would be easy to get lost. Once we arrived we were able to send a group text with clear instructions. You might want to just be sure you get there about an hour or two early to navigate. We’ll happily stay here again if we gather this large group. Thank you thank you for many many happy memories!

Was planning a ski trip to Cannonsburg, but due to no snow we explored Grand Rapids and nearby city of Wyoming. Plenty to do to keep the little ones busy. Ended up hanging out at the grand castle more than we thought- very unique place, the three-story penthouse gave us plenty of room to spread out and play games and have a fun, low key time ringing in the new year. Just what we wanted with 4 adults and 5 kids.

We enjoyed our stay at the Castle. The space was nicely decorated and had many spaces for the group to spread out and for kids to play. The kids' room had toys and games to keep them engaged. We used the extra mattresses to spread out on the top floor (since there were 18 of us), which was bright throughout the night as the castle turrets were lit up on the balcony. However, we enjoyed the lovely sunrise views in the morning. The common library on the 8th floor was beautiful.
Overall, thanks for a wonderful experience!
The rental company was very responsive and I recommend the following tweaks to make future renters' experience even better:
1) Vacuum the areas next to windows thoroughly- there were dead flies stuck between the glass and they sometimes fell into the rooms so we had to vacuum them on the first day.
2) Provide better quality towels and more of them. We had a group of 18 and only about 12 towels. The towels pilled and left residue on the floor, in tubs, and on us
3) All 3 bathroom locks got stuck multiple times, and it took time to coach people on how to get out (including kids). The locks work fine if tested when doors are open, but if you turn them too far to the right when shut, they get stuck and there's no way to unstick them from the outside either
4) Provide a few more supplies such as dishwasher pods, toilet paper, and paper towels
5) Consider adding shades to the top floor balcony windows so it's darker at night.
Thank you! We'll be back.

My husband and I hosted our 4 adult children and their families with a getaway to Michigan for our 50th wedding anniversary celebration.
The Grand Castle did not disappoint. What a thrill driving up to that spectacular structure for the first time. I had planned this trip for months and the reaction from our grandchildren made it all worth it. The little 5-year-old boy is still talking about staying in a castle.
The location was ideal--close to many activities and plenty of stores and shops without stressful traffic.
The check-in process and communication with management was prompt and courteous prior to and upon our arrival.
The building was quiet and security was well managed.
The three levels afforded us plenty of privacy and the ability to spread out. Of course the lovely outdoor pool was a hit and we really appreciated the two upper decks with comfortable lounge furniture and spectacular views. Many hours were spent there. The pool table and poker tables were also put to good use.
The kitchen and laundry facilities were convenient and very well equipped. The dining table was large enough for all 13 of us to sit at the same time. We were surprised the refrigerator didn't have an icemaker, which was a little inconvenient.
The sleeping accommodations allow for only 2 private bedrooms, which wasn't an issue for us since we were all one family with our children, but might not be quite as good for some groups with all adults. But we thought it was amazing. Thank you.
