The view was great! (we purchased the mountain view), but personally I don’t think the room was much to rave about. The area itself is very expensive so be prepared to spend 100CHF for any meal. The staff were wonderful, but one night was the right amount for us.

The room was spacious and bright with large glass windows. Front desk was very helpful and proximity to shopping made misc travel needs easy. While outside the city center a 6 min bus to downtown / city center, makes things manageable without a car. Overall a pleasant experience would recommend for those looking to recover from extended travel.

We booked 2 rooms at the Mercure City west in Chur, in one of the rooms the comforter had blood stains, this was very unpleasant, the rooms were large and comfortable but not clean, the pillows were not comfortable and the breakfast was very bad, the front desk was not friendly and unapologetic when we told them about the blood stains on the comforter.The people in this city is very rude. We do not recommend this Mercure Hotel in Chur, we have stayed in several Mercure Hotels and they have been good, unfortunately not this one.

Quality Chur stay
Excellent quality accommodation for our short stay in Chur. Even though not in the old town, we could have used the complementary bus pass to travel in if we had had more time. Views from 9th floor rooms amazing.

The man that checked us in wasn’t very informative. We learned the next morning from a very informative young man of the amenities they offered & good directions to a place we wanted to go. The AC was very difficult to figure out (hotel should’ve had some kind of instructions, I think)

The hotel listed air-conditioning but the room was 26C during the night, leaving me and my wife sleepless after the night. Otherwise it's a nice hotel but we specifically chose this hotel because of the air-conditioning (not very common in Switzerland).

Very friendly staff, gave me a courtesy call to ask what time I was arriving (it was close to closing time). Spacious room with great views, plenty of parking, well-equipped gym.

Nice staff, great room with comfortable, large shower. Cleanliness average. The restaurant and bar were closed unfortunately (Covid), but another hotel nearby did have an open restaurant and bar. Restaurant would have a separate cigar smoking lounge (if open).

Siamo stati in questo hotel solo per una notte. è davvero fantastico. La torre è stupenda, il letto comodo, la camera spaziosa e pulita. Lo staff moto gentile. L'hotel è connesso al centro commerciale e ha anche un ristorante. Peccato che non ci sia ancora la carta per gli ospiti che dà diritto a dei ribassi.

StopOver for Bernina
At breakfast, eggs we thought were hard-boiled were actually runny. Besides that, everything in the hotel was great including the comfort, cleanliness, view. One word of advice, if you arrive late into Chur, McDonald’s and Burger King are the only two eating options. Also 10 minutes before you finish breakfast, Go ahead and ask the front desk to call a cab for you to the train station. It will take about that long for the cab to get to the hotel. This was our stop over to catch the Bernina express the next day which departs at 8:30 AM, so if you are planning a similar route keep that in mind. If I wanted to experience more of the mountains in Switzerland, I could see myself coming back to Chur

City West Hotel
The hotel room was very comfortable, clean and quiet. The room has a safe, refrigerator and Nespresso coffee maker. We had a great view from our room. The ground floor is a small shopping mall with an excellent grocery store. The bus to/from the train station stops right in front of the hotel (since we were there for almost a week, we got an electronic bus pass, which was very handy). The only negative to this hotel is that it's in a primarily industrial area, so other than the mall, there aren't restaurants or shops in the immediate area (unless you include the McDonalds a couple of blocks away).

wonderful staff- very helpful. Simona is a star. Hotel is in close proximity to businesses. Only downside in this hotel is the laundry was not open in evenings, it would be ideal to keep Iron and Iroing Boards for guests to use.

A 10 min walk from City West train stop. Next to the City West shopping mall. Bus number 6 stops at the mall and Bus number 1 is a 5 min walk. Nice modern hotel with good restaurant. I wish the bathroom sink was able to hold water.

Great, modern and updated hotel. The walk from the main railway station felt like a bit of a trek. The reception gave us a taxi voucher for the ride back to the station so that cost about 10Euro. The wifi on the 6th floor was pretty bad but was fine on the 2nd at breakfast. The breakfast was great, with plenty of options. The walk back into Old Chur was about 1.5km so without packs it was easy. The hotel is in a shopping mall with a large Coop supermarket so we bought takeaway salads and ate in!
