Great stay where treated like one of the family. Amazing choice of breakfast including full english, pancakes and rolls all prepared fresh. Already booked for next year as really good location for the convention centre and railway station.

Stayed one night, have to say it was one of the best places we've ever stayed for price, location, quality, value for money. Easy access for the town, shopping nightlife etc. Room was masive, cozy , clean , with a big separate bathroom. We ate in the pub/ bar restaurant in the evening it was beautiful and plentiful. Full range of real ales too. All staff are friendly and very attentive. Excellent breakfast from full English to continental. Free parking too. We will be back in the summer.

Great getaway!
Lovely accommodation, well located to restaurants, bars & shops, and Harrogate Baths which we visited. We had the ‘penthouse’ which was on the top floor with a rolltop bath in the room and a balcony - gorgeous! We had bad weather (it was December) so didn’t use the balcony but everything was clean, comfortable and upto expectations. The included breakfast was ordered off a menu rather than buffet, much preferred, and was varied with great portions. There were a LOT of stairs to our room, not an issue for us but anyone with mobility issues/ small children etc would struggle. Wouldn’t hesitate to go back!

Great mini break inna lovey hotel.
We had a lovely stay. Hotel was lovely and staff really friendly and do a fantastic job. Breakfast was beautiful and hearty. We stayed in a room which was at the back of hotel over the road. Wouldn't of chose this room but it was ok. Would of much preferred to have a room in the actual hotel. If we stay again i would request we want a room in the hotel. Room was adequate though with a lovely bathroom and all the amenities we needed. Tea and coffee and biscuits were provided. Would definitely stay here again as it was central to everything.

Traffic Noise Spoilt our stay.
Fine room though it was adjacent to the main road which was very noisy until midnight and then from 4am. We struggled to get any decent sleep and spoilt both our days out in Harrogate and York. Sunday night - we ate in the restaurant with a very limited menu. The burger was cold, the roast dinner was only just ok. We enjoyed a local restaurant on the Monday instead of dining in the hotel.

Family trip to York Xmas Markets.
Everyone at the Cheltenham Inn were so welcoming from the moment we checked in to the moment we left. I travelled with my partner and 9 year old daughter. Everyone made an effort to interact with her which she enjoyed. We checked in late (8.45pm). We were all really hungry after a 3hr drive. Food was about to close but we were provided a lovely table and provided great service. The food was delicious. Another nice touch was a loyalty scheme you can sign up for. Upload £5 and you are given £10. We spent £50 on food and drink which then gave us an extra £4 reward which went towards a delicious cocktail off the menu. Really happy with the room as well. Spacious, character and comfortable beds. We had a double and a single. Only negative was that the hotel is in the centre of the city. The hotel has a very small car park to the rear but was full when we got there. We paid to park on the main street (Free overnight and about £5 for 3 hrs from 8am). We then moved the car round to the free car park once other guests checked out while we spent a few hours out and about. Great location, 7 minute walk to the train station.
