Overall stay was good with beautiful pool. But checkout left a sour taste in our mouths. We were told to park in a parking garage by the front desk which was $45 overnight vs valet at $65. We get to the garage and are told we needed to pay it on the room to get that pricing because if not we would have needed to pay double so I walk back. The front desk lady gave motel 8 customer service instead of the caliber of custoners that go to marriott and we get to the gargae AGAIN and then the card they gave us was not working so we were just waiting there to be let out. It was such a hassle and ordeal that too longer than should have as it made me late to work as well.

The room was up to standards (clean, functioning properly, quiet, comfortable). The staff was courteous and helpful, as good as it gets for a 4.5 star hotel. The location was excellent. The pool was unbeatable among Houston hotels.

This property was very nice, clean, and located in a safe, great area of the city. The pool, hot tub, and gym areas were so nice. When traveling to Houston again, this is definitely where we will stay again.

The staff at the front desk was very professional and friendly especially JoJo! She made our stay extra special. Also, the bartender at the pool Alisha went above and beyond to make we were good.
The winter wonderland experience was magical.

We had a great New Years Eve! Just stayed one night but they held our bags for us before we could check in and after we checked out until our flights. Very friendly. Felt safe!

Very centrally located hotel in the heart of downtown Houston. Huge luxurious lobby and plenty of lifts. The night light show around the pool area during Christmas, looked magical. We received a free upgrade to a corner room on a higher floor overlooking the pool as Marriott members, which was appreciated. Valet was quick and efficient (at $65 per day it is expected to be).
Unfortunately, the room and hallway carpets were not clean which is not a good first impression and do not justify the prices they charge. The bathrooms were tiny and not at all luxurious. The bedding had various pieces of lint all over, indicating lack of attention to their guests' experience. The in-room couch was brown from wear and tear. There was CONSTANT door banging in surrounding rooms by both housekeeping and guests.
This property could learn from similar downtown properties in dynamic cities such as Dubai or Tokyo where cleanliness, ambiance and first impressions are afforded priority and workers take pride in their work. This hotel is definitely not worth the prices they charge but the location is the highlight.
