The staff were very good, friendly, helpful and efficient. My complaints about £10 parking charge were dealt with satisfactorily for example and my request for a fridge for some medication was met without hesitation. 10/10. The hotel though is in some serious need of updating. The general effect is " a bit shabby and in need of attention. " The staff acknowledge this and I believe improvements are scheduled. Not before time. We have stayed here a few times before but not for some years now and we're disappointed at the standard. Our standard room was spacious, and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom though was worthy of some old run down seaside boarding house but with good towels. Say no more for that. Access to the hotel was ridiculously awkward but that is no fault of theirs - the ongoing city works are a bit of a nightmare. I will stay here again but only after what ever refurbishments are planned have been completed. Otherwise it's very easy to get a similar experience at a much lower price. I prefer to pay a little more though and get what I remember we used to get.

Great location even with Hull's present road closures and development. Convenient parking, great location overlooking the Marina with very good pedestrian access to both the old town and other amenities. Premium room was large with very good facilities, well stocked free bar, which was a very welcome addition and everywhere very clean and well maintained. Staff friendly, attentive and helpful, over-all very happy to recommend to anybody looking for an overnight stay in Hull.
