Such a lovely property. Enjoyed our stay so much and wish we stayed longer. We got the garden room which seems newly furnished compared to some of the river view rooms. There is not much of a garden view - just the carpark - but the room was warm and cozy nonetheless. The hotel is a great base for exploring the Golden Circle and the sights along the way to Vik. Also lots to do around the hotel - it was also nice exploring the area around the hotel property, there is a hike to the Reykjadalur Hot Springs which we unfortunately didnt have time to do, there's the little town of Hveragerdi with a supermarket and more dining options. The drive from Rekjavik was easy - travelled early Nov in the evening and there was about 10 mins of snowy mountain drive with low visibility but overall was fine. Would highly recommend!

The hot tubs and location is amazing. The rooms should have wardrobes as there is no where to put your clothes and the bathrooms desperately need updating!

it was definitely unique stay. Surrounding and morning breakfast was great but room was so tiny(we have triple room) and needs some improvement. But the reason that I recommend this hotel to others is you can experience unique experience such as cooking eggs in hot thermal hole and outdoor thermal pool and geothermal scenery. and very close to Reykjadalur Valley. A place that you should visit in Iceland.
