Classy country home on the lake
Lovely stay at the Ard na Sidhe Country House. Very peaceful and tranquil setting. Such a beautiful location. Wonderful gardens and very classy main house. Food was wonderful. Our rooms were in the garden house, and was clean and comfortable although a little warm during our unseasonably warm visit. Great staff all around. Easy parking and great location. Much prefer this stay over crowded Killarney.

Delightful Country House with fabulous grounds
This is a sensationally peaceful property with comfortable accommodations and excellent food. The Saturday night harp concert was transformational. Debbie at reception and Baptiste, the student intern, were especially gracious. The landscaping is undulating and thoughtfully natural. One of the best ever.

More guesthouse than hotel
This is a stunning country house, it a tranquil location. However, it is more like a guest house than a hotel. There are no facilities here at all. It is beautiful and relaxing just be aware no proper bar, no pool, no spa, no tv in rooms etc. The sister hotel The Europe is much better value for money.

Great retreat for a couple
Staff friendly and helpful. Food was excellent. Scenery lovely. Highly recommend the views from the top of the mountain across the road but be warned it is a bit of a climb

We were absolutely thrilled with our staty at Ard na Sidhe. The hotel, grounds, staff, food, everything were absolutely amazing. Debra and Alex were simply amazing. If we had to do our Ireland vacation over, we would've stayed here the whole time. Simply stunning.

We booked this hotel as part of our Honeymoon through hotels.com. We chose this hotel specifically as they advertised babysitting was available and we had our baby with us. On check in we enquired about a babysitter for that evening so we could have a meal together and were told they do not offer babysitting and this was never available at this hotel. We were meant to stay 2 nights but checked out the next morning and moved to a different hotel with babysitting. Facilities are not as advertised on hotels.com and are misleading to families.

Ard na Sidhe nailed it.
This was a beautiful, romantic setting. The house and rooms were stunning. The views across the lake and the gardens full of life and interest. We had beautiful weather which helped!! A particular mention goes to Debbie and her service staff, Ellie and Salvador. At a time when service sector is struggling, it was refreshing to see a staff who were attentive without being overbearing, who gave attention to detail, and who smiled and made eye contact. It really made all the difference - a credit to Debbie and the team she has built at Ard Na Sidhe. The fine dining was delicious - beautifully presented, and local produce. Well Done Ard Na Sidhe. You nailed it.

You should plan a vacation around this hotel!. It has one of the most spectacular views in Ireland on its own section of a lake. There is an amazing hike that leads up to a mountain top. The restaurant was the best I have been to in Ireland. It may not be easy to get there (especially without a car) but it is very much worth the effort.

An escape for the soul
Ard na Sidhe is simply the most wonderful hotel. Old world charm on Caragh Lake. It’s like stepping into a painting from another era. Food is wonderful. Scones and cream… walks and swims. An escape for the soul.

This property is absolutely exquisite. The grounds alone are reason to come stay here. I would say the only 2 drawbacks we had was the breakfast was mediocre, and the WiFi signal kept cutting in and out. But the staff was fantastic, and this place is definitely a must see for a quiet overnighter or weekend. Really incredible.

Cannot imagine a better location in County Kerry. Easy access to all the best sights (Ring of Kerry, Dingle, Slea Head Drive, Killarney), impeccable service and great food. It is the perfect quiet place to relax with gorgeous views. The gardens and house are well maintained and the service is unparalleled. If you are looking to unplug and take in the beauty of Ireland, this place is for you!

A gorgeous gem with a flaw
The place is truly magical and gorgeous Unfortunately when we arrived the hostess couldn’t be bothered and gave us the wrong room Please remember everyone that Welcoming is the most important part of a great stay Also the service staff seemed highly overworked A gorgeous remarkable place should be as great to its staff They did switch our rooms and tried in every way to be more gracious but the wear on the staff is evident. Owners please make better working hours for your great staff

We had a fantastic stay. The hotel is very beautiful. The gardens and views are expansive and lovely. The staff are gracious and friendly. Our room was elegant, very clean and comfortable. And the restaurant is superb for both breakfast and dinner.

Great for Couples and friend groups
The location is both idyllic and practical to explore the Ring of Kerry and Dingle Penisula. My garden house room was luxurious. Breakfast and dinner scrumptious. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Romantic atmosphere is great for couples. As a solo traveler I felt safe and comfortable but a bit of the odd-person out.

Perfect!
Excellent! Beautiful property inside and out. We spent three nights and wish we could have spent more. We spent hours walking the paths to the lake and through the gardens, watching deer enjoying the flowers as much as we were. :) Great staff and excellent food. Highly recommend!

Words can't describe this place. I'm getting goosebumps just writing the review. My wife and I spent a single night here last week (May '19) and it was magical. We spent the days wandering the gardens and sitting by the lake. The rooms were some of our best during our trip. The evening meal was extremely well done. The staff was attentive and very professional. We made some great friends with the other guests and this is the #1 place we are looking to stay on our next trip to Ireland.

Great stay. Young service staff need a little more experience, awareness, confidence, interaction - am sure Debby and the other members of the team will mentor them well to where they need to get to. Would also suggest leaving cushions and throws near garden exits so customers can use for the uncomfortable wooden benches and throws for when the breeze picks up. Wonderful place

Beautiful property and accommodation. 2 nights was not enough. This is a terrific destination on a beautiful lake with local hikes walking out of your room. Breakfast was more than ample, and the dinner we had the one night was excellent. Staff was attentive, and Mary was very helpful with suggestions and the like. Thanks for a great stay!
