Gem of a find
What a great find. Stayed with another couple on our 1st visit to Killarney and if we were to return would have no hesitation in staying here. Beautiful hotel, ideal location, but above all else really warm, friendly efficient staff. Nothing was any trouble for anyone. One of the nicest places I have ever stated in

A short walk to the centre of Killarney and handy to the Killarney National Park, this hotel offered a comfortable and spacious room with freshly cooked breakfast to order. What set this hotel apart was the warm and friendly hospitality of the staff who bent over backwards to help us, with our room, with dining options and hiking and touring tips and information. Lovely stay!

We booked the Old Weir Lodge for a belated wedding anniversary trip to Ireland. The front desk greeting, check in process, and directions were all great from the very start. The included parking spot and hot and cold breakfast were also both positives, and the breakfast spread and variety caters to all guests. The room itself was quiet and comfortable, and spacious for our purposes.

We loved our stay at the Old Weir Lodge. The lodge itself was lovey and very clean. Friendly staff and Shannon at the front desk was so pleasant to work with. The Breakfast was perfect with several great choices and the dining staff were so friendly. Very easy walk to town. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend the Old Weir Lodge.

Staff was wonderful and made you feel at home. Room was comfortable, clean, and had everything one needed. The breakfast in the morning has a lovely selection of fresh items to select from. Parking is easily accessible and close to the front entrance. Would stay here again!

Great hotel! Very comfortable and the service was fantastic! Free parking and very spacious room. Easy 10 min walk to downtown. Highly recommend staying here.

There are 3 key things that can make a great stay - comfy beds, great water pressure and temperature for showers and a hot breakfast in morning. The Weir Lodge hit all the marks and went above and beyond. The property is clean and well maintained. Our “family room” was twice the size of any hotel room and gave us all our own beds with plenty of room to move around. The staff was amazingly friendly and helpful and breakfast both mornings was sooo good! I highly recommend this place if you will be in Killarney!

We had a wonderful time at the Old Weir Lodge for our 2 night stay. We used Killarney as our base to explore the surrounding areas and drive the Ring of Kerry. The hotel was very charming and beautiful with lovely decor that really enhanced the Irish countryside experience. We enjoyed the bar area and had a glass of wine here each evening before walking into town for dinner. The breakfast room was very comfortable and clean and the breakfast was very hearty and delicious. Our room was very large and comfortable although we would have loved the option for a king size bed. We had a large window that we did have to open because there was no a/c, very high ceilings, and a large bathroom. The hotel was quiet and although we our bed backed up the wall that was on the main staircase, we found it was incredibly quiet. The parking was easy and we found it was a very quick and easy walk into town for dinner both evenings. I got food poisoning from a local restaurant on the second night of our stay and the Old Weir Lodge staff was extremely kind and accommodating allowing us extra time for check out and providing me with plastic bags for our car ride to our next destination. Overall, great value for money and a great place to stay.

The staff were very friendly. There was plenty of parking, and we were able to walk into town in 10-15 minutes for dinner and drinks! The room was a good size and we even had a Mountain View! We would definitely stay here again.
