I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Ballindrum Farm. My room was clean, nicely decorated, and had a beautiful view. Mary (the owner) was very welcoming and even drove me to town because I didn't have a car. To top it off, guests are allowed to watch the cows being milked every day from a viewing gallery (yes, Ballindrum is also a working dairy farm). I highly recommend it.

Good time
We thoroughly enjoyed our overnight stay with Mary. In spite of being very busy she always had time to stop chat. Watching the milking was very interesting. we had everything we needed and the room was spotless

Ballindrum Farm was a peaceful oasis in a beautiful part of Kildare. Convenient for Kildare, Newbridge and the various motorways to Dublin, as well as south and west Ireland. Despite being a working farm it is exceedingly quiet. Mary, the lady of the farm, is tireless to ensure everything is just right. Breakfast can be anything you wish and lots of it. Most enjoyable, very comfortable, and highly recommended.

A nice rural setting yet a short drive to restaurant & bank. The breakfast was the best in our 2 week stay in Ireland, and the owner"s were very hospitable.

Quiet and lovely clean house with close access to the fwy but far enough to feel in the country. Mary was lovely and to say she went above and beyond in the kitchen is an understatement!!! Her breakfasts were absolutely delicious! It was fun to walk around to see the animals with our little one!

Excellent B&B in peaceful rural setting but very handy to Athy and surrounding area. Mary was very welcoming and accommodating. Perfect place to stay for Triathy. Mary rose earlier than usual to make breakfast before the race. Nice cup of tea and scones on arrival. Highly recommended!

A kind and caring welcome; delicious food; lovely rooms; a fabulous experience for our two year old to see chickens and cows up close and to watch the cows being milked...she loved it!

Enjoyable Stay
My family and I stayed the night here after a family wedding. We were kindly greeted and after being shown to our room and provided with a travel cot, we were offered delicious refreshments and made to feel at home. The farm was very comfortable and warm, very clean and tidy and breakfast was wonderful. Would highly recommend staying here and the area is lovely and quiet with a short distance to town.

This was a very comfortable place to stay, and the farm was really nice, we loved seeing the farm animals so close to the building. There was a full Irish breakfast, and our host was very accommodating.

Mary and Vincent made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. They had tea and homemade baked goodies waiting for us. The house is beautiful and the rooms the perfect place for a small young family like ours. My little girls loved seeing the chicken and calves right outside the window and Mary even gave my little one bread to feed the chicken, which she still talks about. Hard to believe it could get any better but then we had breakfast in the morning and LOVED every single dish they made for us. All the staff was attentive and friendly and we will definitely be recommending Ballindrum Farm B&B. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us. The Thorstad-Tellechea Family

Lovely B and B. A little outside of Athy, which we didn’t expect, but it was well worth it. The staff is friendly and the food is fabulous and plentiful.

Exceptional country living!!
Family away from home!! Honestly, you couldn’t ask for a better farm stay. Mary (everyone is on first name basis) makes you feel a part of the family immediately upon arrival. The room my family of 5 utilized was equipped with everything needed for one night to a week. The bathroom is large and it has the basics with shower. The room is large and the beds were comfortable, clean, and equipped with electric blankets. The kitchen (sink, fridge, dishes, etc) is large enough to save money preparing you own meals if staying for an extended period of time. My family thoroughly enjoyed the outside and farm setting. We fed chickens, pet the horse, and we watched 40 cows get milked simultaneously by one person!! My kids loved it!! The cows were calving and we’ll always have this as a prime memory of Ireland. The best part of the visit was Mary and her hospitality displayed throughout... the scones, cream, jam were all delectable. The fire inviting. The breakfast served as requested with traditional Irish items and basic items too. We truly enjoyed the experience! Thanks Mary to you and your family!!

Excellent country B&B in the Ballindrum area.
This is an amazing country farm area B&B located a bit off the M highway from Dublin to Waterford. The owners were very friendly and helpful. The parking was good and breakfast was excellent with lots of choice. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom a very nice size with a good shower. The area is quiet and a nice country view. We would certainly stay here again if in the area. If travelling from Dublin pay attention to the directions given by Mary and Vincent, the owners, as it is easy to miss the lane. There is a nice hotel restaurant not too far away but you should get directions from the B&B hosts.

Exceptional B & B
An excellent B & B just 5mins drive outside the town of Athy in a very quiet and rural location. A very warm welcome awaits you from Mary who always appears to be on hand - no matter the time of day or night. Her breakfasts are amazing with attention given to every aspect of what you may require. A very inspirational person who works exceptionally hard to ensure you have a comfortable stay. It's a pity many others don't follow her lead in the hospitality sector.

Excellent first night
Spent our first night in Ireland here after a long journey to get there. Scenery is beautiful, food is fantastic, hosts are wonderful. Was comfortable too. Is off the beaten path so if you are looking for pubs and restaurants close by, this may not be your first choice.

Mary and her family were absolutely lovely hosts. She graciously welcomed us with tea and warm scones (our kids are still talking about the fresh raspberry jam). Joseph's "Grace" was amazing and Francis was most attentive at breakfast. Highly recommend.

Great rural farm location
This is a great location if you want to get away from it all. The facility is excellent and the host was great. You can chip in and help with milking if you want to get up early. Restaurants, grocery stores, and Pubs are about 15 minutes away so if you want night life, this is not the place for you.

A home away from home
We had one night at this B&B. we were welcomed by the host and family, our bags were carried to our en-suited rooms by the younger family members, and a lovely cuppa with scones awaited us. Our host chatted for with us for a while and then left us to talk together. We were entertained by the younger family member who played an Irish tune for us. Next morning we were able to visit the dairy to see the farm operating. A most comfortable, clean room with very welcoming hosts. Thank you Mary and Vincent for sharing your home with us. The breakfast was delightful. We will certainly tell our friends to visit.

Great place to stay
The bed and Breakfast was splendid. We were greeted with tea and the best homemade scones we have had in Ireland. The proprietors Vincent and Mary were gracious and kind. They offered us excellent hospitality. The room was clean, nicely decorated and well kept. The bed was very comfy. Best of all, the location was quiet, well manicured, farm area with lovely green pastures which added to the serenity for good relaxation and rest from the busy cities. We loved it so much we plan to go back on our next visit to Ireland. Thank you Vincent, Mary and family for a wonderful place to stay. It added immensely to our trip .
