Stayed here for the first time last year and cannot express how wonderful it is. Booked in for almost a week this April and again…the staff, fantastic, especially Bethan, who was my breakfast waitress each morning, a lovely person, exuded compassion and kindness. Food was excellent, service second to none. Emma at the from desk was fab. Lorna, I missed this year as she is traveling. Rooms are so luxurious and the shower…powerful! A must when you’re from NY, we are spoilt with our water pressure😜. Highly recommend and it is very central.

I wish we would have had more time to explore the grounds at the Barberstown Castle. The inside was gorgeous and had so much character and history!! It was just a short overnight stay! Next time it will be longer!!

Gorgeous and unique property. Stayed as an overnight before a morning flight. Half hour away, but needed to leave a bit early due to rush hour traffic. Loved my room with canopy bed and comfortable furniture. The dinner restaurant was lovely and food great. Loved the breakfast served in the old castle keep. Great atmosphere all around, but best of all was the very friendly and helpful staff. Can't wait to stay again!

An Oasis in Kildare!
The Staff and Management at Barberstown Castle go above and beyond to make sure you have a delightful stay. This was our 2nd. visit in 4 months, and we really enjoyed our time in Barberstown Castle. Food was excellent, Loved the Room. Ted took us on a tour of the whole Castle which was amazing, already planning a return visit! Great Job Folks.

Barberstown Castle is a super property, very clean and comfortable. the staff were professional with a personal touch. The food was excellent also

This property was our last and favorite stay during our Ireland travels! We stayed in 6 different hotels and this stay wowed us beyond measure. We were celebrating our anniversary and they made us feel so special at check in! At one point during our stay, the owner of the property, Ted, personally greeted us and showed such warmth to us! The menu in the restaurant was surprisingly affordable and the options were great, even for vegetarians. The room we were in, #33, blew us away, and was so comfortable and clean. What a treat!!

What's not to like about staying in a Castle for the night. The room was excellent with all the unique appointments one would expect in a Castle stay. Very comfortable rooms and beautiful hotel.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food offered by the restaurant was very good. The rooms were very nice, the junior suite was well worth the price. The best shower pressure I've experienced in my travels.

Great stay
Beautiful grounds and interiors, amazingly comfortable bed and wonderful staff. Nearby bus stop made for easy access to Dublin city. There was a wedding the night of our stay but no noise disturbance at all

This was one of the most unique hotels I've ever stayed in. The rooms were decorated with antiques and very elaborate styles. I took many pictures to share with family and friends. The atmosphere at the bar/lounge was good and the beer that is brewed on premise was very good.

Beautiful suite.Beautiful old hotel. My complaint , the night we stayed it was raining & maintenance left a ladder on the ground outside and I spent the night listening to the rain hitting off the ladder! Next morning we had room service delivered with no cutlery or condiments and cold toast!

Spend the night in a castle... How can you say no?
Let's be blunt, how many opportunities are you going to have to say you stayed in a castle? The oldest portion was built in the 12th century I think, but it seemed like most of the guest rooms are in the Elizabethan (1500s) or Victorian (1800s) additions. The dining room serves a prix fixe dinner (reservations strongly suggested, although the staff was great about squeezing me in without a reservation) as well as a breakfast with a buffet as well as cooked-to-order food. The grounds are also quite beautiful, although I didn't have time to fully explore them.
