Great location
We stayed for friends wedding. Staff were lovely. Location is so central and the food was fantastic. Would definitely stay there again

It was only an overnight stay as we were attending a wedding in Langtons Hotel up the road. The Hotel itself was also hosting a wedding that evening so it was very busy, but despite this the service was efficient and friendly, and breakfast teh next morning was excellent. The location is perfect for anyone wanting to stay in Kilkenny

Love kilkenny, wonderful place to visit.
Stayed for a night as we were travelling around Ireland. I will be returning. The staff are wonderful, the service and breakfast were amazing.

Dated but stately hotel in fantastic location. Room 243, noises, bangs, all night long. Sounded like construction but could have been plumbing:heating.

Amazing!! Can't wait to stay again!
Myself and my boyfriend wanted to get away somewhere before the summer ended and I had had been in Kilkenny in July and passed the river court hotel several times and heard it was lovely so I booked it and got it for a good price. The hotel was fabulous, very clean and the staff were so amazing. They were so welcoming. We got bed and breakfast and the breakfasts were amazing!! The staff, again so lovely. You're so close to everything so you don't have to worry about taxi costs. Also the view of the castle during the day but especially at night is beautiful. It's a real bonus to sit out and have a lovely view of the castle and river with the ducks. Best hotel stay in a long time!!!

Very nice hotel in great location
The hotel has a great location with a lovely view across the river to the castle. It is quiet at night even though it's located near all the great pubs. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel has been very well-maintained, has an excellent breakfast, and is perfectly situated to enjoy all that Kilkenny has to offer.

The staff were very helpful and welcome throughout my two night stay at the river court hotel, the first night we dined in the restaurant and had a lovely meal. We then went into the bar which had little atmosphere, (it may of been the time in which we stayed) but there was no music just two huge televisions with RTE on, the price of beverages were shocking but I understand that can't be helped, even a bit of background music would of made a huge difference. I didn't enjoy my second night as much, as we had bar food and I wasn't fond of my meal, the atmosphere in the bar was again terrible and the staff looked incredibly bored. As for the receptionist and the breakfast/restaurant staff they were very warm and welcoming.

Very noisey location. We were kept awake by the bars in the town that were close to it as well as the hotel itself. We also ended up having to park quite far away which was a pain given all the stuff we had with us. The hotel itself is fairly dated

Lovely location
Hotel is right on the river offering great views. There is a large car park, and the staff were lovely. The rooms are looking a little dated now but are still nice. Breakfast was all you can eat but I have had better.

The highlight of our stay was sitting down to eat breakfast whilst looking through the window at Kilkenny Castle. The room was cosy and inviting - just what was needed after a day of driving. Only difficulty was accessing the hotel's car park and then finding a space to park in.

great location on river overlooking castle. Makes for great backdrop as you drunk an evening beer. The rooms are "acceptable", but location makes up for it.

Perfect location with a view of the castle
This is a charming hotel with a perfect location. It is right on the river with a view of the castle. We were able to walk to everything in this lovely medieval town. The complimentary breakfast was amazing and the staff was very helpful. This hotel has free onsite parking, a real plus in these windy, narrow streets!

A gem in Kilkenny
Excellent & friendly staff. Large, clean room, Very good breakfast included. Good food and service in the lounge and on the deck looking across the river at Kilkenny Castle. Well within walking distance to all the sights in a beautiful and friendly town of Kilkenny. We finished our vacation here. The hotel met and exceeded our expectations after being disappointed by the last two hotels we had prior to arriving in Kilkenny.

We stayed for a couple of nights in Kilkenny where we were attending a wedding in another hotel close by. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The dining room for breakfast was lovely and the breakfast itself quite good. The room was well placed with a lovely view of the castle. The only minor things about our room were the availability of TV channels was very poor and also the remote control was stuck together with sticky tape and very difficult to use. Also, it would have been nice to have extra pillows for the bed and some extra towels too. There was a wedding being held in the hotel on one of our nights and unfortunately there was a lot of noise in the corridor at a very early hour of the morning. Security were dispatched to take care of the problem. The location of the hotel was gorgeous, right on the river Nore and with great views of the castle and a lovely outside area. Overall, as hotels go, this one was very pleasant. The staff from front desk to dining room manager were great. It just needs a few tweaks and it would be so much better.

Wonderful, clean and great breakfast!
Our stay here was wonderful! The view out our window was Kilkenny Castle! The room was comfortable & clean. The staff at the front desk were very helpful, especially Fiona! We highly recommend staying here…and the breakfast was large and delicious!

We had a most enjoyable stay at the River Court as always. Staff most pleasant and friendly. We would recommend it most highly for all the reasons above and in addition add that is very convenient for rail users and adjacent to city centre

They were undertaking renovations but the hotel overall was very nice. The dining room staff went above and beyond to accommodate my food allergy and everyone was super nice.

We like this hotel have stayed before unfortunately the leisure centre was under refurbishment this time so the facilities were unavailable but we did get a room upgrade which was great. Very convenient location for all of the city centre and the castle.
