Mid Week Break
On our arrival we were informed that we were upgraded which was very nice. The reception staff were great. The room had a lovely aspect overlooking green fields. I had an amazing facial with Patricia, who is an extremely experienced beautician. I had some time afterwards in the Thermal Suite. It was heaven! We booked the Yindees Restaurant and explained I was a coeliac. We had ribs in honey glaze to start and they were lovely. My main was duck khao san which was way too sweet and the duck fat (of which there was quite a lot), was soggy. I sent it back and nobody came near us to check why!! My husband had a lovely chicken in green curry sauce. We finished and requested the bill and asked the manager why nobody came to check why my main was returned. She immediately apologised and said that they would not charge for the main and our wine was on the house, which was totally unexpected. The breakfasts are served in La Perla restaurant and they were delicious and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The gym could do with an upgrade as the machines are rusty.
