"I am sure when it is full in the summer it will be less quiet. It was a great location as a base for our exploration and has loads of interesting Viking artifacts. Room was small but sufficient, breakfast was nice, they made us a sandwich we picked up the second morning because we had to leave to get to the airport before breakfast. Hot pool was great after a long day of walking and driving. Everyone spoke English really well. I would stay here again if I ever go back to Iceland!"

"A little off the main area so it was very quiet but still easy walk to central areas. Bus stop 15 just across the street for easy pickup by tour companies. Cool mid century modern design with great sitting area, very good buffet breakfast, super service and a great value! Definitely recommend "

"The Alda is in a perfect location, on the "high street" and close to everything, but not noisy and feels very safe. The rooms are not fancy, but clean and comfortable. I could have used a dresser or just a few drawers. The Brass restaurant downstairs was great, and their breakfast was yummy and fresh. The staff were unfailingly helpful, with a special shout-out to the hardworking Ursula. We would happily stay again. "

"We booked a Deluxe Double room and were not disappointed! We got a massive room with a big balcony, spacious living area and comfy bed. The staff were always very helpful and the location was great - supermarket nearby, good location for parking, close to the water and lots of eateries nearby too. Definitely would stay here again :)"
