We arrived for a two night stay to be greeted by a small and cramped reception area (the photographs the hotel provides on its website and on Expedia are extremely deceptive). The male receptionist was friendly and knowledgeable and quickly processed our check in to our rooms.
Our rooms on the third and fourth floors proved the extent of the photographic deception. The rooms are small, and consist of a single wooden wardrobe, two wooden chairs, a table, TV with a limited number of channels, a low MDF wooden structure covered by a very weak and unsupportive 3/4 double mattress. The bedding is of good quality but you will leave this hotel with a bad back - both of us did. The bed is dreadful and I can't remember waking up as often throughout both nights. The standard is hostel, not hotel, quality. The photographs don't tell the truth.
In the corner of the room is a tiny table with kettle, but generous amount of tea and coffee. Free fizzy and still water are provided for your first night, but neither were replenished on night two.
The bathroom was cramped, and the shower had a semi blocked waste outlet. The carpet was old, and the curtains were off the rail in places.
Due to having bulk occupancy, this place attracts groups, in this case, a large group of noisy, unsupervised Spanish teens who sat in the halls, banged on doors and screamed without challenge. I complained to the hotel but was told they were excited due to their earlier Auschwitz trip!
