Overall a very a good stay. The lifts were a problem, very slow and busy, not much that can be done about that. The wifi connection wasnt great and had to reconnect in every different area you went to in hotel. The pool opening times were only 10-6 so would have liked if open a bit longer as there was no where else to really sit in the hotel other than the rooftop bar. Food was good, had to send back some dishes as cold but when hot were tasty at both the pool bar and the rooftop bar. The spa is a great facility and the staff did a great job. The circuit was okay, the steam room was cold and the turkish bath water was also lukewarm would have been nicer if hotter. The rooms were also very cold at night but they did supply a small portable heater on request. The location is great for the airport but in terms of the islands main tourist attractions and beaches it is far away from these and taxis are expensive! Not much to see in Arrecife itself and beach isnt the nicest and currently some roadworks going on in the off season so unable to walk along the promenande. Overall a very good relaxing stay, but would not revisit.

Great location. Lovely pool area and bars with amazing breakfast. My husband celebrated his birthday and as a surprise we were left a bottle of fizz and cake in the room which was really nice.

Stunning vistas and great rooms
Such a gorgeous hotel and always a pleasure to stay here. The rooms are wonderful- very comfortable and the views spectacular. The rooftop bar is stunning (though service can be slow) and the cocktails outstanding. If you are looking to really treat yourself, so try their ground floor restaurant - it’s outstanding. Just a few things that could be better: (1) air conditioning is really needed in the breakfast buffet room - it was so very hot & certainly worked against any kind of leisurely meal; (2) the elevators are on the most random algorithm and take forever- factor this in and don’t get frustrated by them! (3) I’d really like it the hotel showed you the bill for you to check before telling you the final sun owed- was surprised that I had to ask for this- on final checkout but also in the (really excellent) restaurant; And some suggestions: (1) it would be wonderful if the hotel would rent out deckchairs/beach mats/parasols for the adjacent beach. A “beachbag” option for guests would be wonderful; (2) another idea- imagine if there was somewhere to leave and share unused sunscreen with incoming guests- I left some factor 30 and aftersún in the ladies bathroom and hope someone will make use of it! All in all, this is a really lovely spot- easy walking to the old harbour and shopping area, with lots of excellent restaurants around.

We really enjoyed the spa that was part of the hotel as well as the live performances. The staff were friendly and helpful and the views were incredible. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend :)

Beautiful hotel. The staff are excellent and always willing to help. The breakfast was very good except for the coffee which, sadly, was from a cheap machine. Otherwise I can’t fault it.

Relaxing holiday before Christmas
Clean comfortable hotel with spacious suites with good location to relax by beach, meander around the town and marina, together with great walking by the sea to see the sunsets. Weather was perfect neither too hot or cold although pullover needed in the evening

Wonderful property with excellent staff, decor, and amenities. The food and drinks were spectacular and the views were amazing. Our room was nice and spacious and we really enjoyed the smart capabilities with the curtains automatically drawing back and the ac turning on to keep the room cool. The hotel says it is 5 stars and the breakfast is fantastic. However the rooms, lifts and spa are definitely not 5 stars. The lifts are very tired and tatty. We paid to use the spa but several of the features were elwere broken or out of use. The rooms are fine but not particularly comfortable. The windows were very dirty. The staff however were very helpful and friendly, the reception area is stunning and the beach next door is perfect. Ideal for a short break, but not worth the extra money

Air con and shower type disaster
Welcome at Reception seemed good and we received a nice welcome drink, however my booking request for a room with accessible shower had been refused. He said if we wanted a room with roll in shower, it would cost extra for a suite. My booking on Hotels.com, as one member of my family cannot get into a bath due to a disability was irrelevant as I had booked through a third party! We went to our room and as it was hot we tried to put air con on high. The air conditioning did not work and the room became quite hot. We called Reception to ask about air con. They sent a maintenance man to check it out. He put up a ladder at entrance to our bedroom and worked on it for nearly one hour. We were trapped in this hot room. When it was clear it wasn’t being fixed, we called Reception again and they agreed to move us to a room on a higher floor. I again asked if we could get a room with accessible shower and Receptionist told us it was not possible. I asked if I could speak to the Manager and he told me she was on holidays! He sent her a text to request an upgrade for us but it was refused. He told us we could use the showers in the Spa in morning. It didn’t open until 10am but someone would let us in earlier for showers. We moved to the 7th floor room and having lost 3 hours of our evening it was now dark so did not want to walk too far. In the morning we tried to access Spa but staff said it was not possible. A complete shambles for our one treat night in a 4**** hotel

Some good and some bad
There is much to like about this hotel so I will start with the positives. Firstly the hotel is clean and tidy and the room we had was immaculate with a great sea/beach view. The pool area and Spa are very nice and again very clean and tidy. Unfortunately now the Negatives. Our experience of the Bar on the 17th Floor was very poor and extremely disappointing. We waited around 20 minutes to be seated, then a further 20 minutes for our drink/food order to be taken - then another 20 minutes to get just the drinks and we presumed the food would follow shortly after. Unfortunately 20 minutes later and still no food and none of the staff showed any interest when we tried to get their attention. In the end we gave up. I went to pay for the drinks and then they had the audacity to try and charge us for food we never received!! Needless to say I went to reception to complain and to be fair they took my feedback seriously and made efforts to make up for this poor level of service. All in all its a lovely hotel that we have stayed at a few times now but after this most recent experience it has put us off returning which is a real shame - but when you pay for a premium hotel experience you expect a premium level of service and this was some way short. There was also the issue of not often being able to get a sun lounger on the sun deck as these were usually hogged by selfish individuals but this is something you may experience in any large hotel complex.

Low quality service
It was way too expensive for what it is. They were short-staffed most of the time. The food is terrible! The waiters cannot get an order right! The bed was uncomfortable and the sheets were low quality. I kept asking them to change the bed sheets but they never did. I will never go back there and would not recommend it.

Being the largest building around made it easy to find no matter how far you wandered. While the room is very barely decorated, the view is where you spend most of the time looking at so works out. I am not a fan of the two beds pressed together as they start to separate as you sleep, which is distracting, but overall highly recommend this place for luxury, comfort, and ease!

Great hotel on the beach
Great stay - lovely ambience .Breakfast varied and good quality.Rooms good sized and beds comfy.Perfect location on the beach . many local restaurants within walking distance . Loved the staff uniforms - chinos and linen - created a good vibe.Very friendly and helpful staff As a resort there were no loungers on the beach - maybe Covid related .Will def revisit
